We stayed here 18 months ago. Great base for travellers wanting to see the sights. This time thought it was looking a little tired and unloved. Fitness room needs up dating and equipment could do with repairs although the staff there were first class. No restaurant now only pepper,s which seemed popular. Reception staff very jolly welcoming , and keen although they could do with a bit of training as to when fitness room etc was open..
Enjoyed the visit despite these niggles thank you

For a clean relatively inexpensive place to lay your head this fits the bill. No drawers , king bed ,which occupies the whole bedroom
Small but adequate living room and kitchen. Beautiful mountain settings and 5 minutes to downtown Banff.nice flat screen tv in living room

Our family stays at this resort a few times each year and continues to based on a very consistent product. We asked for an early check-in and that was accomadated. They gave us an upgrade to the "wolf suite" from the regular one bedroom condo that we had booked. (a nice surprise) We stayed two nights. We used the pool and hot tub several times. We only ate at Peppers once as the food was terrible. I ordered a steak sandwich ($17.00!!) and it was the worst I have ever had OR seen. Sent it back......was taken off the bill right away by the server (who also agreed that it was not quality product) PS I am a Red Seal Chef by trade and know what I am talking about. Lesson learned...will not eat there again....BUT would not make me stop staying there altogether. All in all good value compared to other similar resorts in the banff area.

TIP
PLEASE.....PLEASE REMOVE the couch from the pool area....its been there for at least 2 years and there is no way that thing can take moisture........it looks SO bad.

Room Tip: I would not pay for an upgraded "wolf suite"....not much of an upgrade at the end of the day.

This was our third visit to the Rocky Mountain resort, and as usual the staff were most helpful and the room as expected.

We choose this resort as they have pet friendly suites. They are also one of the cheapest pet friendly resorts in banff. Don't let that put you off though. They provide huge big comfy beds, treats and poop bags. With the resort being out of town there are grassy and wooded areas which we find very useful for letting the dogs do their business!

We stayed in a junior suite, with 1 queen bed for 1 night. For all the time we spent in the room it was perfect. It was clean, bright and well maintained. Once we got 2 dog beds in there it was a little cramped, but we were only there for a night. They have a free shuttle bus which runs once an hour into the town of banff so don't let the resort location put you off.

The only thing I will criticize about this room is the bed was very very soft, so neither of us had a great night sleep. This is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

We did not use any of the facilities on site, but the opening times of everything seemed good.

I would like to send big thanks to Ben, who remembered us from our last visit, which was nearly a year ago. He was most helpful and even helped us with restaurant choices in town.

Room Tip: If you're taking a couple of bigger dogs, but want to keep the cost down, maybe take the junior suite with 2 beds for a little extra space.

Swopped a timeshare week for a 2 bedroom condo here. Initially was disappointed with the resort as a whole and the size of the unit. However the place grew on us. The staff are marvellous, particularly the Australian guy on the reception desk (sorry have forgotten your name) and Michelle , another Australian, who took us on some spectacular walks as part of the free activities organised by the resort.
The units are small by American standards but are clean, have everything you need and the beds are very comfy.
We used the shuttle bus a few times when we wanted to sample the very nice local beers and found it to be well organised and reliable.
Location couldn't be faulted , an easy drive to Lake Louise, lake Minnewanka etc , all fantastic. Michelle recommended we hired cleats from a local store in Bear Street to hike Johnson Canyon which was amazing.
The Australian guy recommended Tooloulou's in Banff for breakfast and dinner , which is a great place to eat in. We have never seen such an extensive breakfast menu, loved it.
We could hear our neighbours sometimes but they were a pretty quiet bunch. We would definitely stay here again .
