“Brilliant hotel”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We stayed there as partof a package through the Rocky Mountaineer, brilliant choice, greeted with a roaring log fire, warm welcoming staff highly efficient, were in our room within 5 minutes, one of their lifts was'nt working but that did'ntcause too many hold ups.room was large on the side of the hotel so unfortunately no view of the surrounding mountains, but the comfortable beds more than made up for that, bathroom was very nice though one little quibble, the toilet holder was so close to the toilet bowl, and if you were on the large size you might find aforesaid item sticking in you!
All in all a really great hotel and only 15 minute stroll into Banff though you have free usage of the local bus service which was excellent and runs on time!

What a wonderful place to have a spa getaway. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and had all what we needed to make our stay a memorable one. It was nice to have a French door with a screen to our balcony. The beds were comfy, and inviting to get a good night sleep. It was great having coffee/tea and a mini bar fridge in the room. When we ran out of coffee, we just went to the front desk and they gave us more. Having complimentary wifi added to the lodge offering so much more.
Having the spa (4 hours of pampering treatments we immensely enjoyed) and the hot pool on the lower level made our stay even more worthwhile.
Thanks for making our stay a memorable one.

This hotel was part of our Rocky Mountaineer trip and had a standard room but it felt very roomy and well designed. Very clean and spacious. The part of the hotel I liked was the large hot pool they have on the lower level, it feels very tranquil and will just melt all your worries away. They do have a Keg on site that also do breakfast in the morning. The food was quite good but for better value, over ordering the buffet and order from the menu, you'll have much better options that way.Staff were super friendly and helpful in suggesting great places to eat. Another plus is all guests here can request a free transit pass that allows you to access the Banff ROAM Transit system around town at no cost, very nice added value when staying in. It is a little bit from downtown but not too far, maybe a 10-15 minute walk. Would highly recommend this hotel when staying overnight in Banff whether you are Calgary resident on a weekend getaway or an international visitor who is staying a while! Has a great wilderness feel to it!

Room Tip: There seems to be a A/C or furnace unit at the far end of each floor when you turn left from the ele...

My partner and I were taking a quick trip through the Rockies and I had heard about this hotel from friends. It was perfect! To start, the price was good and with free wifi and free parking it's a great value. The room was clean and extremely comfortable as we had a couch, a table with chairs and a king bed. The staff were extremely helpful and offered ROAM passes to get downtown but we decided to walk both ways. It is really close to the main part of Banff but the passes were a lovely option.

We stayed at the Caribou Lodge for 2 nights while we visited our daughter in Calgary. It was amazing to see Banff, and the Lodge is just what we wanted.
It's a cabin feel, with really nice rooms. We had a large room with 2 beds, and a nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice. We also used the hot tub downstairs with the jets on, and that was nice after a long day of walking.
The staff is very nice. We arrived early, and were able to get a room right away. They went out of there way to set us up. We took the free bus pass to go the gondola ride, but apart from that we walked everywhere. The walk to downtown is only 15 minutes.
We ate breakfast at the Keg. We ordered the buffet, and were pleased with the food. We went out for dinners, because we wanted to expereince different places. Lunch we did the same. There are alot of nice places to eat, and lots to choose from.
Overall, the hotel is located in a nice part of town, on the main street. It's nice and cosy with a fireplace in the lobby. We also liked the underground parking. We did not have to use the car for the most part. We did go to Lake Louise, so we drove then, but otherwise, we walked around and enjoyed the mountains. The hotel has that mountain feel.
I would go back again.

The good stay started at the front desk--great staff made us feel at home.

The loft suite with jacuzzi was very nice and very clean, safe underground parking appreciated, restaurant on main, just what I needed.

This beautiful wilderness hotel is highly recommended to those who like 99% perfection from a hotel.

Room Tip: The renovated jacuzzi loft suite is perfection...quiet, clean, new, comfortable bed...
