Wildlife....that is the only reason I drove into the Banff Springs Golf Course at 430 on a Saturday afternoon. After driving from Seattle and seeing next to no wildlife, we were told that we would be guaranteed elk at least. And they werent wrong! 15 to 20 lazing on the fairway of one particular hole allowed some zoom photography and right at the end of the drive we came across 10 deer grazing in an open field. The course itself looks beautiful and it makes a terrific spot to view some locals. So it's all good!!

The golf course manage to share their courses with great wildlife, and you can drive through the course to the clubhouse, and late afternoon may well see Elk and other wildlife. We found over 30 elk, including one old male and two younger males, which provided entertainment that may have required sensorineural with young members of the family. Be warned though, elk are wild, and can get bad tempered if they see their reflection in your car!!

We are not golfers but was told that if we drove to the Golf Course at dusk we would see elks. We did, and saw elks feasting on the greens. Well worth the drive.

Didn't play golf but drove thru and watched elk. Wow it was awesome. You can see elk at sunset most days.
