“Mountain Oasis!”

Great gem in the town of Banff! One of the few air conditioned hotels in the whole town, which proved to be an asset in +34 heat. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and the room was very clean. Room had a nice balcony to sit on and enjoy the mountain view. A little bit of a walk from downtown Banff, but close enough to everything we wanted to see.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the outside of the hotel, for a more brighter room. We stayed on the outer side, f...

Perfect location in Banff. Rooms comfy and the hot tub and pool a perfect way to loosen off after being on the slopes. 10 minutes walk from the town centre and bus stop beside the hotel for ski areas it's ideal.
Hotel restaurant was excellent and the open fire a good way to sit by in the evening. The whole of Banff's restaurant and eateries are brilliant at recommending each other for meals. Not given one bad bit of advice about where to eat and the Inghams meal voucher scheme was tremendous. The Mexican restaurant was the most memorable.
Top tip:
Jump off the ski buses by the service bus station in Banff and treat yourselves to a French vanilla latte and doughnuts from Timmy Hortons before getting a taxi back to your hotels - a great way to warm up after visiting sunshine mountain or Lake Louise.

Great place and planning to go back!!!!

Room Tip: Any location - got lifts!!!!

We booked Rundlestone Lodge due to the good reviews but I found the room really dark and very dated. Horrible decor. I liked the bath and Body products. The staff were very friendly and the parking was good.

We used the pool once. The female changing rooms were really dirty with even a used sanitary towel on the floor and I didn't feel the pool and hot tub were clean either and the chlorine was really strong. We didn't want to swim there again,

We stayed there 3 nights and I was disappointed. I can't comment on breakfast or the restaurant as we didn't use them.

Location was ok, on the edge of town, about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. I wouldn't stay there qgain

Thank you very much for your feedback and we are happy to hear you found some positives during your stay.

Regarding your disappointment with the lighting and décor in the room it is worth noting that we are two thirds of the way through an extensive renovation, with the final stage on our third floor due to take place this coming fall. This renovation is a huge investment for us with entirely new lighting, furniture, carpets and all other decorations. The feedback on the rooms we have renovated so far has been overwhelmingly positive and we are confident that upon completion we will offer all of our guests an even more comfortable stay in a beautiful and relaxing environment.

It is disappointing to hear that the cleanliness in the changing rooms and pool area did not seem to meet our very high standards on this occasion. The changing rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and are also spot-checked periodically throughout the day. Once again this year we won the Housekeeping Award from the Government of Alberta and Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association which reflects all the hard work our housekeeping team put into maintaining very high levels of cleanliness throughout our property.

With these things in mind we hope you will consider us as an option for a future stay in Banff as we would love the opportunity to host you again for a more satisfactory stay in one of our renovated rooms.

We stayed here one night after flying into Calgary. We have no complaints, the service was great, the room was nice and appropriately rustic. We stayed in one of the hot tub rooms and everything worked well and was clean. The hotel was a little far from the town center, but a nice walk after a big dinner. We would recommend for someone visiting Banff.

View of the mountains from room. Clean, comfortable room. Good drapes that kept the light out at night. Breakfast was good in the dining room. Pool was very nice - lots of towels and chairs. City bus stops right outside park beside hotel.

After reading lots of reviews before booking our king jacuzzi suite for a 5 night stay, I didn't have high expectations due to some negative reviews and didn't know really what to expect.
After arriving form a 2 day train ride on the rocky mountaineer we were quite tired and pleased with the check in process. The front desk staff was friendly and served us with a smile.
We were given a room on the third floor looking towards the mountain. Admittedly the window overlooked the back of the property where there was a dump bin directly below our window but this was no problem as if you looked straight across you have great views of the mountain.
My first impression was the hotel looks a bit dated, but by the end of our stay i felt it added to the charm of the lodge experience.

Our room had a king size bed, jacuzzi bath, fireplace and plenty of room to move around.
The air conditioning was a bit noisy but was welcomed as the days and night were reasonably warm. The wifi was good to have bit proved painfully slow on some mornings and afternoons.
For international visitors, the calling rates were amazing (Australia was 12c a minute!)

My birthday fell on one of the nights of our stay and with some sneaky arrangements from my wife and hotel staff they organised to deliver some cake, chocolates and champagne to our room whilst we were on our day trip. This was a nice surprise upon the return to our room in the afternoon.

The underground car park was great to have on the days it was raining. With 2 lifts from the basement car park we could easily get to our floor and room without getting wet and needing to go through the lobby.

The hotel itself is about 1km from the town centre and is an easy walk to and from.

Overall, the hotel was a great base for our 5 night stay in Banff with day trips to Lake Louise, Calgary, Fields, Golden and many of the areas amazing lakes.

The staff were always accommodating and added to our stay at the Rundlestone lodge.
We would not have any hesitation about staying here again.

To the Rundlestone Lodge staff and management, Thank you.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor jacuzzi suite/s has vaulted ceilings which adds to the feeling of space.

The great news about Banff is that it is such a compact town, there really isn't a place that's too far away. Thus, we chose the Rundlestone, even if it is on the edge of town. The price we paid was extremely competitive for Banff, The staff was incredible - very friendly and helpful (everyone we interacted with.) The facilities are immaculate including the room. They do a great job keeping things clean. Lots of room within the room. Hallways were quiet. In room refrigerator and safe - both which come in extremely handy. We went to the pool 3 of the four days we were there, and always had it to ourselves. I think the pool liner was brand new based on the condition. Rooms are air conditioned for the days you need it. They have an onsite restaurant, but we never tried it. They also have an underground parking lot - be warned the spaces can be very tight...we had a larger rental and it was tough to maneuver around. Thus, during the day we would find local street parking as opposed to using the garage. The only real nit I have to pick is that our curtains were falling down, so they wouldn't close properly...we mentioned this to the front desk, but they never did get fixed. Not enough of an issue to change a very high recommendation
