The cauliflower app wasn't as good as I had hoped, but the bison short ribs were fantastic. A nice restaurant in Banff for sure.

Thank Lindsey J

Ah, exceptional on every level. We enjoyed the rare perfect Sunday morning brunch at the Bison Terrace outdoor patio. The view, the music, the food, the coffee, the server, (Brit named Cathryn) provided one our finest experiences during our week in Alberta. Recommend the French Toast and Heurvos Rancheros. Prices were more than reasonable. 5 Stars.

Very much enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks on the upstairs rooftop dining area at Bison. We got a great spot overlooking the street and surrounding mountains.

The food was very good, featuring a lot of (surprise!) bison, but many other locally sourced foods. The menu even gives you a map of all the farms that the foods come from.

Drinks were yummy (the lemon squeeze with vanilla sugar rim was great). The downstairs portion is a wood-fired pizza spot, which smelled delicious as well, although we didn't try it.

Overall, a great spot in Banff!

I am a chef from Toronto and fussy. The food here was so locally driven. I loved the "really good" tomato flatbread. We also adored the bison ribeye...make sure you get it quite rare as it is so lean. The food changes but everything including creative wines and awesome service.

This restaurant was highly rated in things we read, but should only be rated as average. The restaurant is nicely appointed, and we enjoyed sitting outside with a great view of the mountains. Our waiter Andre was wonderful. The menu features some game and bison selections as expected. I had the bison short ribs and they were virtually tasteless, submerged (perhaps to hide their number) in a stew of equally tasteless veggies. Others had entrees that were somewhat better, although my wife complained about the small portion of her red trout. One diner had the interesting escargot on the bone, several snails served on a bone with marrow inside. Wine list included a number of selections of the region which were good. We got our appetizers and salads fairly quickly but then sat for about an hour and a half waiting for our entrees. A fairly simple meal took us nearly three hours. At one point our waiter came over and offered us a gratis bottle of our wine, which we accepted, but it did not compensate for our service (the fault of the kitchen, not our very nice waiter). I would search out alternatives unless you enjoy frustration.
