“Like do you really care where you sleep in Lake Louise”

We stayed here after riding the Ice Fields parkway and frankly all we wanted was a shower and a comfy bed. We had the upgraded room with a king size bed; it exceeded our needs and wants . I have heard the older part is a little shabby. There is a pool and hot tub. Basically in the mountains who cares what your room is like?

we spend a night at this Hotel and were less then impressed. Even my 12 year old Granddaughter commented on the Rooms shortcomings and overall state of disrepair. From faulty Taps to a broken Lock that I had to fix first , in Order to leave the Room in an locked State , the List goes on and on. I expected more for over $ 400.00 a night.

Room Tip: try a different Hotel

While vacationing in Alberta we ended up spending a night at the Lake Louise Inn. The room was badly in need of a complete renovation. The staff was very nice and made every effort to make our stay acceptable, but I can not recommend anyone staying there until they renovate. Also no hotels in Banff national park has AC in their guests rooms. So July/August is not a good time to visit.

Dear JMB386,

Thank you for the comments and review. We have begun renovations in fall of 2013 and have accomplished much since then and we are planning and looking forward to more. From a bird's eye view, our hotel is surrounded by very high peaks and many of them have permanent glaciers on the North aspects. A/C is rare in these mountains due to normal cool evenings and chilly nights. We just had an amazing couple of weeks of splendid weather which brought warm temperatures. July and August are the most popular times of the year and they are enjoyed by many familes with kids out of school.

it was a good choice re location & price for our family of 6 adults & 4 kids.
we booked a 2 bedroom apartment which had a king size bed & ensuite & the other with 2 queen size beds. the apartment had all the amenities for cooking , a coffee maker & another separate bathroom.
the other apartment also with ensuite & a separate bathroom was a loft with a queen size bed & a single bed & another room downstairs that had bunk beds.
it was very clean & spacious & service was excellent. there was free wifi & the connection was fast & good. the 3 separate buildings had laundry facilities.
the property was about a 10 mins walk across the road to the village where there is a supermarket & cafes.
Laggan's bakery was excellent , everything there was really yummy esp the pizzas & sandwiches.
Lake Louise & Lake Moraine is a must visit from here.
this place is highly recommended , it was good value especially in Lake Louise & we found that it was our most enjoyable stopover in the Rockies.

Room Tip: either a loft apartment or a 2 bedroom apartment is highly recommended if you are travelling in a pa...

Currently staying at hotel having stayed here before a few years back. The hotel is looking really tired now - pool area dirty, beds really soft and rooms generally look old and shabby. None of the rooms have any information about the hotel or it's services (apparently there were lots of changes earlier in the year so they are producing a new one??!!) and we are already on our 3rd room key after just one night as they don't seem to work properly and we cannot get back into the room.
Last night we had the worst dining experience of our holiday so far - we waited about 20 mins to even get a drink, no one was clearing tables so after a huge party left we ended up clearing a table ourselves just so we could sit down. Then took ages to order - and as for ordering a further drink later on, we gave up. To top it all there was a really uncomfortable atmosphere with two of the waitresses being rude and unpleasant to a new member of the team who was clearly struggling. None of the staff seem to actually know what's going on here......

Dear MissB2812,

Thank you for the review. Your comments are important to us. All the rooms have new guest information binders now. I am very proud of our employees and they work hard and do their best. We get many compliments on cleanliness. I am sorry your experience was different and we are looking into the situation you described in the dining room. We will improve all aspects as a result of your kind reminder.

For Lake Louise in summer it's one of the best value places to stay. The standard double bed room was small. If we hadn't used one of the beds as a place to hold our two suitcases I don't know where we would have put them. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were in one of the separate buildings: 3 floors with no elevator - that could be a problem for some. There's a sign by a phone on the outside of the building that they will help carry your luggage if you ask. We didn't use them but they have 2 restaurants and an indoor pool which seem to attract family use at night.

Room Tip: The standard double bed room is very tight.

Dear Gus B,

Your positive review is appreciated! We have 9 room categories and yours was our standard room in Building 4. The standard rooms are the smallest at 203 sq ft, the most economical and extensively renovated in 2013/2014. There is no elevator and many of our guests mention the 3rd floor views being absolutely stunning. I am glad you enjoyed a good night's sleep!
