“Good Choice in Lake Louise”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

We spent 3 nights here touring the Lake Lousie and Yoho areas.  We stayed in a hotel room (not a cabin) overlooking the road. Our room was spacious and clean. Though we didn't have a full kitchen, we were still equipped with a kettle and dishes to make our complimentary morning oatmeal. The WiFi actually worked well which is a rare find in Banff and Jasper.  The laundry facilities worked well and staff was nice enough to supply any necessary change.  The hotel is just off the main road to Lake Louise and a bit far from whatever assemblance of a town that is Lake Lousie. Overall nothing memorable but a good, solid hotel if you'll be spending time in Lake Louise. We would recommend.

We recently spent 6 nights in Cabin 17 (Pilot Mt). Lovely, quiet setting surrounded by trees and mountains. Paradise Bungalows was a great spot with easy/close access to the hikes we did. Very clean, comfortable bed, great mini kitchen stocked with plates/utensils/pots and pans. Linens were replaced daily, free wifi, coffee, oatmeal, and breakfast bars always stocked. We extended our stay because forest fires in the area caused the road to Jasper to be closed. Everyone who works here was so friendly, helpful, and courteous. The cabins do have heat but, no AC. The daytime temps were in the 90s but, we were comfortable with the windows open. No need for AC. Will definitely return and highly recommend Paradise Bungalows.

Room Tip: Would avoid Cabin 20 as it is very close to the road. Cabins 9-14 have very nice outdoor decks with...

We stayed here for 4 nights in a Cooper cabin, I was unsure of the accommodation I had booked, this proved to be perfect. Very clean with every amenity, comfortable bed, large bathroom with toiletries, excellent deck area with a lovely view. Breakfast provisions were perfect. Definitely recommend :) Tourist things all within easy distance, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake etc.

We stayed here for 9 nights in a Wilson cabin #5 to be close to all of the fantastic hiking in the Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Yoho areas. Paradise Lodge and Bungalows exceeded our expectations. Our cabin was perfect for the two of us...charming and rustic-looking on the outside and beautiful wood paneling on all of the walls and ceiling on the inside. The queen-size bed was very comfortable. Two arm chairs were also provided as was an armoire with very roomy drawers that fit all of our clothes. The armoire also contained a flat screen TV and stereo with CD's but we never used them. There was also a small table with two chairs where we usually ate breakfast. The kitchen area had a small sink, small refrigerator, a microwave, and dishes and utensils for two. Though we had only a microwave for cooking, which we knew about when we reserved, we managed to make decent dinners with it every night of our stay, many times taking our dinners out to one of the several outdoor tables provided in the common grassy area at the center of the property. The property is very well maintained and the setting is beautiful. At the back of the property there is a large freestanding wood swing that we enjoyed sitting in every evening after our daily hiking adventures. The Lake Louise ski area can be seen from here across the valley. We could hear some of the traffic from the main road from our cabin, but that drops to nearly none at night when it's time to go to bed so this was not an issue. All you can hear from the cabins and swing at the rear of the property is the river below, so we may try for one of these on a future trip. The staff is fantastic...everyone was so helpful and
friendly. The housekeeping staff in particular did a wonderful job of cleaning our cabin every day. In each cabin they provide a small stuffed black bear or moose wearing a green hoodie with embroidery that reads, "Paradise Lodge - Privacy Please". We thought this was a charming and unique way to alert housekeeping when guests wanted privacy. Just set the stuffed animal (we had a black bear) outside or in the window where they can see it. Most of the time we sat the bear on the headboard. Housekeeping likes to have fun placing the bear in different locations. One day when we returned we found the bear sitting on the bed reading a book we had left in the cabin. Another day the bear was sitting at the foot of the bed with the TV remote in his paws facing the armoire with the cabinets open where the TV was. We did buy our own bear to take home from the office. The housekeeping staff really seems to enjoy their jobs. Compared to other accommodations in the Lake Louise area we thought we got the best value and experience at Paradise and was well worth the price. We really looked forward to coming back to our cabin every day. How many places can you say that about? Keep doing what you are doing, Paradise, it is fantastic!

This is my second visit to Lake Louise and previously had stayed at The Fairmont Chateau and across the board, Paradise Lodge easily surpassed the Chateau on all level from level of service, room and value itself as the hotel cost half as much!

Service 5/5: We checked in very late after the front desk is closed but very surprised to find our names / check-in directions posted on the front door, and even more surprising - our bag which was left earlier has been dropped off to our room!

Room 4/5: We stayed at the Saddleback suite and found the room be quiet large, comfortable (separated with a mini-kitchen and washroom in the middle) and is kept very clean. Due to the layout of the hotel - you somehow feel so close to the nature (open your door and you can smell and feel the fresh mountain air!).

The only regret we have with the hotel is that we didn't stay longer! Would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

We stayed 3 nights in a Peyto Cabin which was a large room with a bed, lounge & kitchen areas and a separate bathroom which included a claw foot bath. The room had a gas fireplace which was warm and cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed including an oven and hotplates. It is only a short drive to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake yet it feels like you are hidden in the mountains away from the tour buses. The Wifi was free and good signal strength. The staff were friendly and helpful with information on the local area. We loved our stay here in paradise!

My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Lodge & Bungalows in Lake Louise at the end of June. We took a smaller cabin and it was just right for the two of us. The location is perfect. Close to Lake Louise (within walking distance) and we were able to tour and shop in Banff as well. We took in many of the nearby attractions and a day trip to Jasper. The cabin is so comfortable and the grounds so well kept. The reception desk is manned by friendly people who are also good at recommending things to see and places to eat. The free coffee and Dad's cookies were great, too. Would absolutely stay here again.
