We spent our last two nights of our Canadian Rocky trip at the Post. It is really a special hotel and the attention to detail is apparent everywhere. I loved the casual elegance of the place. Make sure to check out the library. We stayed in the Whitehorn cabin which is tiny but cozy and so much fun. The handful of cabins are right on the river, and there are 2 adirondack chairs reserved for your use. The grounds are impeccably maintained so sitting outside was wonderful. The service is very professional, but perhaps a bit cool for my taste. The restaurants are excellent, and definitely a step above everywhere else we ate on the trip. We had one dinner in the dining room and one breakfast, as well as one dinner at the pub. I did not think they were overpriced for the quality of the food and service, especially since it seems that all prices are high in the area. I actually thought the Outpost Pub was a great value. We had some bad luck in that power went out both nights in Lake Louise, and the staff seemed unruffled by it. I was pleasantly surprised that candles were delivered to our room while we were at dinner. The location is close to the strip mall (not in view), but it is quite convenient to be able to take a nice little path to the stores. Overall, the Post was a fabulous place to end our trip!

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in July 2008. Located behind a small shopping area and across the street from a service station, it is not a fancy location, but very useful if you need to buy something while you explore the area. The hotel is very expensive and you get what you pay for. Reasonable sized room, nice decor, very professional staff. On the minus side, it needs at least three computers for guest use (currently only one and you have to wait in line, so to say) and I found the restaurant good, but overpriced, as was the wine list.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The atmosphere of comfort and care comes across as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms are excellent, large, so comfortable and cosy, the bathroom and tolietries are excellent and I only wished I had bought one of the wondeful dressing gowns. The pool, hot tub, steam room and gym are excellent. The food is great and my only very minor complaint is that the dining room is a little stuffy in atmosphere. I would give it a miss and eat in the much less informal pub.

We had a wonderful experience at the Post Hotel and Spa! This was our first visit to the hotel and our experience couldn't have been better. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Although we didn't have an appointment, the spa was able to fit us in and I would highly recommend taking advantage of the spa services during a stay at the hotel. The rooms were very nicely appointed, although the many furnishings did make the room feel a bit cramped. However, we enjoyed the character of the room and its lodge decor and that it was not a cookie cutter replica of the rooms in so many hotels. The bathroom, in particular, was quite nicely appointed with a very large soaking tub as well as a large walk-in shower. The dining room and wine cellar at the hotel were one of the primary reasons that we chose to stay here on our vacation and we were not disappointed. Every meal that we had was fantastic and the wine list was exceptional. Although the hotel and the dining room were not cheap, we felt that we received great value for what we paid. Although the hotel rate is easily known, it might be a good idea to put a sample menu on the website so that future visitors would have an idea of both the variety of the menu as well as the range of meal costs.
