Outstanding welcome and the restaurant was top class from the welcome-food through to service. You will not be disappointed especially with the amazing wine on the menu at very reasonable prices and only a 7 minute walk to the lake.

We stayed here two nights and loved every minute. We were considering the Fairmont in the area, but after walking around the lobby there and almost getting run over by your buses and screaming kids, were so glad we opted for the Post! The hotel blends historic charm with modern luxury. We loved the rustic mountain feel, but also appreciated the modern comforts like comfy beds, Aveda bath products, and great service. We stayed on the third floor facing the river and spent quite a bit of time out on the patio just enjoying the sounds of the Bow River rushing by. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is out of this world amazing. We also visited the lounge and the pub and loved both.

If you are in the area and want to truly relax and enjoy your experience, skip the Fairmont chaos and head straight here!

This hotel was a lovely stay! Has a very cozy, traditional feeling but maintains cleanliness and upgrades. The room was very comfortable, and spacious, along with the bathroom. The pool area is great for relaxing! I wish it wasn't so expensive, but with a discounted rate it definitely holds its value. We were on ground floor, facing the parking lot, hence the discounted rate.. If you can afford more go up a floor or get a cabin, but the room was still great. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here!

We spent 5 nights in the Fairview cabin right on the river and loved it. All of the staff were amazing, food was great, and the place was very welcoming and relaxing. Went to the Fairmont for a few meals but liked it so much better here. We will be back for sure. I could have spent a month sitting by the river and looking at the beautiful mountain view. This is really an exceptional place to stay.

Room Tip: The cabins on the river are great. You feel like you are out in the wild with a fireplace and all the comforts of home.

Yup -this is a pretty good spot as most of the reviewers say. Rooms are are great near the babbling stream if you're not subject to urinary issues. But if I have a criticism it's that the place is a bit 'Swiss'. That is more furniture than the room can comfortably hold. Less furniture or bigger rooms -one or the other. Open fires are great and work well. Eating here is expensive (as you might expect) but finding a bottle of Penfold's 389 for $C110 was an unexpected pleasure. The food itself didn't hit any great high's but neither were there any great disasters in the kitchen. The wine cellar is certainly worth a look -if you're invited down have your partner distract the waiter while you shove a bottle of Petrus down your trousers. You could drive past but if you're at Lake Louise you'd be sorry to miss it.

Room Tip: Ask for less furniture
