We were pleasantly surprised at the decor- the pictures we had seen did not do this place justice.

The tables and chairs were made from a light coloured thick wood, extremely ' man' rustic and the room was very light during to the decor. There were some outside seating. Service was speedy, very pleasant and helpful .we ate here a couple of nights and went over early, about 6,6.30as we thought it might have got busy any later, and found it to be almost empty.

We had the burgers and fries and found them to be good value for money, I had pasta on the other night and wasn't so impressed- very basic with little meat and sauce.

I think perhaps all the great reviews on here had mismanaged my expectations. This is a hostel and taking this into consideration it is a good value for money meal in a lovely environment. The choices of establishments in lake louise is limited and so for what we wanted to spend and the fact that we didn't want to dress up for a meal this was perfect.

In Lake Louise where an 12 pack of Dasani is ~$12 and avg entree in a restaurant is closer to $20, Bill Peyto's cafe offers more reasonably priced options.
The food options are you typical American fare - burgers , pasta, fish and chips. Dinner options are a bit more to include some international dishes ( Thai curry).
Located inside the international hostel, it has lots of covers and service was also prompt.
We went for lunch on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy.
Since we were in Lake Louise for 3 days / two nights , this was good change from the other food options in Lake Louise Village

It was just what we were looking for! Something that was not too expensive, family friendly, rustic atmosphere and delicious food! We had not had much luck finding a decent, affordable place in Lake Louise. So thankful to the lady at Paradise Bungalow hotel for recommending this place to us. We went there for breakfast and it was perfect! My dad and husband ordered the camp breakfast which was hearty and filling. My 3 year old son ordered a side of pancakes for $3. It was just one pancake but plenty for him. My mom and I split an omelet and potatoes and it was more than enough. Everything was delicious! We can't wait to go back for lunch or dinner. Finally, we found that we got an excellent meal at a reasonable price in Lake Louise. Great service too!

Hands down this joint is the best value in town... large portions that wont break the bank, affordable draft beer and good service. Swing by in the winter and grab a seat by the fire!

also you have to try the home made soup of the day. Its always creative like carrot and ginger, butter nut squash and red pepper, or home-made beer and barley. Also try the pasta combos. you get salad to start, a main pasta dish, and ice cream at the end! good deal!

You expect to be eating bean sprouts and tofu in a restaurant attached to a hostel but this one actually has food that tastes good. We ate supper and breakfast here which were both excellent. They have a good selection of beers by the bottle and on draft. The vegan and vegetarian members of our group were also able to get a good meal.
