“Great walk with delightful reward at the top.”

Lake Agnes Teahouse
Certificate of Excellence
Description: "Its a seasonal teahouse (like the Plane of 6 glaciers teahouse, which is listed on TripAdvisor), located on Lake Agnes in the Lake Louise area. A 2.5 mile hike brings you to this amazing little historic hut, perched on the rim of a cliff and looking over a lake to The Beehive and mountains beyond. So incredible to stumble across. Whats wonderful is that they have over 100 kinds of teas, good sandwiches and soups, and quite a selection of baked goods (gluten-free included!)".

“Great walk with delightful reward at the top.”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

We did this walk on June 11 on a lovely sunny day. The path is very well graded, easy to moderate uphill to get to the tea house. It took us two hours to get there, very slowly paced and stopping lots to talk and take photos. There was still ice and snow on the upper part of the path which was slippery and tricky to walk on. There were 54 steps at the end. As with others, it was a very icy wind that greeted us as we turned the last corner to the tea house, but we got warm indoor seating. The choice of teas was extensive and the food wholesome. Our descent took us an hour and a half but we stopped lots to talk and I'm sure you could get down in an hour or less. It was a great morning's walk. So many people do this walk it would be best to go early.

“Unique tea house”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We hiked up to Lake Agnes Tea House on one of the first days of opening this year, Friday 6 June. The path from Lake Louise was snow covered in places and we had to climb through piles snow to reach the wash rooms. Part of the path was in an area where there was danger of avalanches.
The tea house was very busy and it was cold sitting on the verandah as it was quite windy. But there was space inside which was very cosy.
It is an amazing place and i would definitely make another visit if i ever come to Canada again.
Lake Agnes was covered in ice and snow too.

“Well Rewarded”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

I think today (4 June) was the first day of operating in 2014. We enjoyed the walk up to Lake Agnes & it was good to get away from the crowds below. Excellent service and the food really hit the spot after the hike. Make the trip!

“Fun”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We had a lot of fun hiking up to the tea house! It was pretty busy and we did have to wait awhile for our drinks. Cash only. It was worth it though. I would go again for sure.

“just lovely!”

The hike was wonderful, and the tea and biscuits could not be beat! Had a friendly little creature there with us. Perfect hike with a little group of friends! The Beehives were a wonderful extension.
