this place was awesome, we did lots of walking around, saw lots of wildlife. there was a train that drove by and the noise did not bother us at all but added to the glory. perfect view of the mountains. and it even snowed a little bit for us. the staff were very nice and it would be a perfect spot to stay over night and go skiing/snowboarding at lake louise in the morning. breathtaking.

Room Tip: any room/chalet is good. nothing bad about this place. everyone should experience baker creek.

We spent two nights in the jacuzzi suite with full kitchen and it was amazing! You are close enough to Lake Louise to partake in activities there (we did the Plain of Six Glaciers Hike), but far enough away to enjoy the beautiful scenery and serenity of Banff Park! We cooked dinner in the fully equipped kitchen that had a small frig, stove, oven, microwave, sink and dishes/utensils. It was perfect to sit by the fireplace and enjoy our meal with a glass of wine!
The jacuzzi tub was also perfect to relax our muscles after our 5 hour hike up the mountain!
The charm and decor of the place add to the ambiance - we loved all the personal touches!

We would recommend this place to anyone heading to Lake Louise and definitely won't be staying anywhere else the next time we are in the area!

Room Tip: Full kitchen is definitely the way to go!

We stayed 2 nights at the end of September. We had a cabin by the creek and could not have wished for a more lovely setting. Very peaceful and relaxing. Cabins were well stocked, although it would have been better if the glassware were not plastic. The staff were all very helpful and polite. Some reviews say the trains were noisy, we did not find them so, and anyway they only ran very occasionally. The cabins are located on the very quiet and beautiful Bow River Parkway, between Lake Louise and Banff, which is ideal. If you want entertainment, this is not the place to be, but getting close to nature and peaceful surroundings, you will not find better. After a day out sightseeing, we came back to a warm cabin, cooked dinner and relaxed in the evening by the real log fire. Lovely to have no television as well. If ever we are in the area again, we would not go anywhere else.

We stayed at the jacuzzi suite, which was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and we loved the cat Izzy at the reception. We even saw a Grizzly not far away. A nice place to stay at near Lake Louise.

The suites with kitchenette were cosy in some areas, basic in others. The log bed was a bonus, quaint and comfy. The rocking chair in front of the balcony as the river bubbles by also got some hammer from me.

The place is in need of an extensive refurb though, it feels like many things are 10 years old, including the information booklet! The jacuzzi bath is deafening, both for us and our neighbours! Not quite the peaceful bath it could be. The kitchenette was really a shelf with a microwave above and fridge below - cooking meals for 3 nights ( we eat out at lunch) was a challenge. The fire was gas and not as nice as logs in some other cabins. There was no TV, citing relaxation as a priority ( I suspect a money saving wheeze), so we looked enviously at the big satellite dish hanging off the owners property! Surely in this day and age the TV should be the choice of the guest whether they have it on? In any event the jacuzzi next door was more deafening than if we had a Gangster Rap music channel on a TV!

Away from the room, the sauna and steam room were shut despite this being advertised, saying it was out of season! Well, it was minus 9 that morning and we were freezing! Animals only frequent the property occasionally, and we did not see any in 3 days, I think throughout the park this likelyhood is exaggerated, though we did luckily see a Grizzly beside the road 5 miles south. We ignored the bistro based on other reviewers saying it is a bit of a fleecing exercise, but it did look good on the menu.

The young staff were friendly and we liked it overall. We have stayed in far better though, and considering the price would expect more mod cons in the rooms.

Room Tip: Get a full kitchen and a log fire

This was a quiet getaway. Really enjoyed our one bedroom loft with kitchen. Made dinner one night and enjoyed our deck with dinner and wine! Staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfasts at the restaurant were really good. Would love to return.

Room Tip: The cabins are quiet as there is no one next to or above you.

We enjoyed our stay at Baker Creek Lodge. The Location between Banff and Lake Louise is excellent for trips to all attractions in the area. We had a one bedroom Suite in one of the larger houses with multiple suites. The Young Team was very friendly and gave helpful recommendations for hikes in the area. During a power outage in the area the Team organized help for all the guests and we even had a candle light dinner with Drinks in Pizza at the fire place.
