“Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

I booked this lodge at the last minute and was lucky to get anything. We had the 2 bedroom lodge for the 2 of us, as it was the last lodge left, which I was fine to pay extra for because I really wanted to stay here.
We got cabin #4 which I believe was the number 1 spot! We looked right onto the running creek, which we could hear with the windows open. We loved the outdoor rocking chair on the porch that allowed us to relax and ogle the mountains and creek.
You can walk down to the train line and (hopefully) see bears that eat grains from the tracks from the passing trains.
The fireplace inside was so nice to watch with a glass wine and a beer. Who needs a tv?
My boyfriend says it was the comfiest bed he slept in while we were on vacation.
We loved this place, and I would love to come back.

We were simply blown again when we got our Jacuzzi suite by the creek..The room is super cosy, spacious, and has lovely rustic decor which opens up to a balcony facing the creek. You can experience the sound of nature right in the room. Facing the beautiful creek and forest, listening to the sound of the flowing river soothes all our stress away. This beautifully isolated lodge is surrounded by nature and the rustic and cosy environment makes it unique and outstanding. There is no TV here, we failed to use the wifi as well because the signal was poor and i absolutely love that, getting disconnected from the world and truly enjoy the moment you have with your loved ones. This is the kind of place that makes your trip hard to forget. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: facing the creek definately!

This property has earned very high marks on TripAdvisor. Deservedly so. Everything met our high expectations. Jacuzzi Loft Suite was a good value. Service was very good. Staff was genuinely nice. Restaurant has very good food and is super convenient. Location of property is excellent. We were able to cover several half-day hikes that were all within a one-hour drive. Including Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, Johnston Canyon, Numa Falls (Kootenay). Only a 12-minute drive into Lake Louise Village for spa and shops.

This is our third time to Baker Creek Mountain Resort and we have enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful surroundings here. Driving along the 1A highway is a treat in itself and we saw plenty of wildlife. A black bear ambled into the parking lot of the resort this morning. We stayed in the Trappers Cabin which has a covered deck looking out into the forest. The creek is a short stroll nearby and the sound of the water was so relaxing. The log cabin is decorated nicely, rustic looking with a fabulous fireplace and a huge stack of wood. Leather chairs are there to sink down into, a CD player and a wonderful jacuzzi. l booked the Trappers cabin partly because we wanted to do a bit of cooking for ourselves and this cabin is advertised as having a kitchenette. The barbeque on the deck was great - very clean and modern with a side burner. The utensils were on the deck floor beside the barbeque and had not been cleaned. The kitchenette is very tiny with a mini fridge, a toaster oven and a microwave (no cook top and no sink). I was disappointed with the utensils in the kitchenette. There were two of each - butter knives, forks and teaspoons of the cheapest quality. There were no sharp knives, no serving utensils, no foil, plastic wrap, no pots or pans, not even paper towels. My husband happened to have a sharp knife in his backpack and we shared it to cut the steak we had barbequed. The next morning, I used the toaster oven pan which I covered in foil (I had brought that along) to cook the bacon on the barbeque. Dishes had to be done in a small plastic container which is kept in the bathroom. The restaurant is very good so I would advise that you either not bother booking a cabin with a kitchenette or be prepared by bringing EVERYTHING you would need to cook your meals.

We stayed here June 7-9 and were extremely pleased by the cute one-bedroom loft chalets. It's a great space complete with mini fridge, oven, microwave, dishes, cutlery, coffee, toaster, and pots and pans. The wood-burning fireplace is already set up for a fire which is very pleasant in the evenings. Wifi is slow and inconsistent but adequate for limited use. There's a $25 charge if you leave your dirty dishes for housekeeping, which is good to keep in mind. We stocked up in Canmore for groceries but ate breakfast at the Bistro which was priced about average ($12-15). You can hear the rumble of the trains which didn't bother me at all but did disrupt my husband's sleep. I loved the private cabins and would definitely stay here again.

On our way day hiking from Banff to Jasper, we really didn't want to cost and crowds of Lake Louise. This place in on the Bow River Parkway about 10 min south of Lake Louise and what a GREAT choice. We actually stopped her for lunch (also great) and decided to double back and spend the night here. It was our favorite place in all of Banff/Jasper.
You are in your share of a very nice upscale cabin (feels like your own). Back porch right on a beautiful stream. Can get even closer on a swing right next to it, or even grill your food there. Quiet, secluded, very luxurious, huge room, GREAT hottub in room for 2 (and this is a basic room). Excellent restuarant attached - we ate THREE meals there. Great service. Believe it or not - price is very competitive for much less in Lake Louise. Lovely.

Stayed here for 4 nights in May along with our two sons aged 6 and 9. The closeness to nature and room to explore was ideal for us all. Was quiet yet only 15mins from lake Louise itself. We went skiing and did the Banff and Glacier tourist items.

Everyone was so friendly and the restaurant offers good food at a sensible price so we ate there twice during our stay.

We were even lucky enough to see a Grizzly and Black bear on our last day.

A truly memorable stay - thank you!! We will definitely be back.
