I found this little gem whilst searching on trip advisor for a true log cabin experience in the heart of the Rockies. This is a beautiful place, great location & what an amazing trip in on the Bow Valley Parkway.
TJ & Heather were there for us throughout our stay & we were soooh lucky to arrive on a Friday when we could enjoy s'mores & hot chocolate whilst listening to all their knowledge & enthusiasm for the area.My son & daughter loved it !
We were so lucky to see Grizzly & Black Bears as well as a wolf and elk.
The bistro next door is also amazing !
Ask for a creek view, the sound of the water will lull you to sleep !
Thank you Baker Creek you made our holiday of a lifetime so memorable.

Just stayed 3 nights at the Baker Creek Mountain Resort and loved it. It is a quick 15 minute drive from all the summer madness at Lake Louise and was like an oasis each evening after a tough day of hiking. We stayed in the lodge and the room was large, the beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi was the perfect way to end the day. The kitchenette was very handy as we got up each morning and made our own breakfast and coffee before we left for the day to explore all the beauty the area offers. There were swings, picnic tables and chairs all along the creek offering a peaceful and beautiful setting. There is a restaurant on site which is not affiliated with the lodge. The food was good but the service was not great. However, it is very convenient to have food on premises if you don't want to cook or drive back into Lake Louse.

If you're looking for something different, this could be the place for you. Surrounded by mountains rising upto 11,000 feet, this series of lodges is set away from the nearest town, Lake Louise, which is about 10 miles away. It is in bear country, but we didn't see any near the lodges! The lodges are spacious, and have quite a unique feature with a jacuzzi big enough for two in the main bedroom. Breakfast and evening meals can be taken on the site. There is not a wide range of food, but typically you can have soup or salad as a starter, and beef, chicken, salmon or pasta as a main course. There is a romantic feel about the place.

Room Tip: Ask for a lodge with a jacuzzi.

We were traveling the Banff/Yoho parks and stayed here for several nights. It really is very close to Lake Louise and the Lake Louise Ski Area. Very pretty grounds. The restaurant is very cozy and the food was very good. Be sure to get groceries because they do have units with kitchens. Because they were so busy we actually had to change lodges the second night but we knew that in advance so it wasn't a problem! Be sure to pet the cat at the front desk!

We really loved Baker Creek - the room, setting and restaurant were all perfect. We used this as a jumping off point to Lake Louise, Icefields parkway and Yoho. We were very disappointed by the staff...we sought advice and help on what we thought were basic questions (i.e how far is it to Yoho? or recommended hikes in the area? The staff couldnt answer ANY of these questions. my husband even heard someone on the phone calling asking for directions and they couldn't answer the caller. So, if you already know a lot about the area, and are looking for a great place to stay, this is it.If you like getting tips from local hotels, don't count on the staff here.

Great chalet about 15 minutes out of Lake Louise but worth the drive. Spacious cabin with gas fireplace and Jacuzzi in the main room! Pleasant balcony with forest / mountain views. Café / restaurant was great - especially the mussels! No TV and poor reception so very relaxing .... even had time for a jigsaw and cards! Staff were very friendly and attention to detail amazing .... only downside was no ironing board and plenty of mozzies!

Room Tip: Avoid upper floors if elderly and with large bags

If you're ever touring along the 1A you MUST drop in for a meal at Baker Creek.
While sightseeing along the Bow Valley Parkway between Lake Louise and Banff, we happened upon Baker Creek around lunchtime and decided to stop in. Good choice! We were delighted to find the menu already indicated which items were gluten-free; very helpful!
Between the members of our party, we ordered most of the items on the menu and found them all to be excellent. The menu items are quite varied with several ecclectic selections available. The portions were generous and delicious. I personally recommend their steak sandwich.
Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and gracious. Prices were almost too good to be true. A little gem of a spot off the beaten path.
