“Simple pleasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

You will never enjoy soup and sandwich as much as after you hiked those 5.5km uphill. The staff is friendly and the service is quick enough.

Homemade bread for the sandwiches was awesome, cut really thick. The soup was nice and tasty.

Not a lot of choices, no electricity and no runing water... who cares? they make ''feel-good'' food and that enough to make you happy.

“Lovely Teahouse in gorgeous Banff National Park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

The food is simple but hearty and delicious (and made in a building with no electricity!). The tea selection provides something for everyone. The menu is limited but more than sufficient. The beauty of the area, and the appetite you'll have after hiking from Lake Louise, makes this a perfect spot for a snack or lunch. We started at Lake Louise, hiked to Six Glaciers, then headed to Lake Agnes and Mirror Lake. It was a long hike but having the two Teahouses for breaks and snacks made it a wonderful day.

“A Welcome Sight After 7 Miles of Hiking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

The Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse is tucked away about 7 miles from Chateau Lake Louise. After hiking for 2 hours uphill, just when you think "Is this ever going to end?" you see a rock path that curves to the right. That is your first clue that civilization, hot tea and a bite to eat await. (And a toilet!)

“So memorable!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We hiked here starting at Lake Louise & headed first to the Lake Agnes Teahouse & Big Beehive. Here we shared a sandwich & soup & had tea. The atmosphere was wonderful! The service might seem a little slow to some, but that's only because of the confined space & large volume of visitors.

“Nice treat mid-way through hike”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

Given that the tea house has no power or running water, and after a bit of exertion to get there, it is easy to appreciate the simple pleasure of being able to enjoy bread, pies, gourmet teas and soups. I was more than willing to pay the premium prices, since being able to enjoy some food and drink in the middle of world class scenery is always expensive. Bring cash!
