We stopped at this hotel after the drive from Banff and like others, stayed here because of the previous ratings on Trip Advisor. The hotel was easy to find and close to the airport without being on top of it - but be aware, it is surrounded by a few warehoue type buildings but nothing else.
I wanted to really like it but the stay didn't start off well when the male member of reception staff who booked us in, really acted as if we were a hindrance and he couldn't be bothered to deal with us. That being said, the member of staff we met in the lift was very welcoming and the room was prefectly reasonable for two of us with two large beds and a very well equipped bathroom. The bathroom was a little tight to move around in however. The in room guide mentioned the Acclaim breakfast in the index, which was also mentioned when I booked on line but on checking the guide further there was no information at all. I returned to reception to ask and was off handedly informed by the same member of staff that we had to eat breakfast in the attached restaurant and it was menu only - WRONG! The restaurant do a buffet breakfast or a menu and their staff are distinctly more friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Talking of the restaurant, as others have said, it's very, very nice for dinner. Great food, good atmosphere and excellent customer service. Breakfast was a little disappointing with the majority of the food being hot and cooked with less cold and healthy options.
The ladies on reception the next morning were really polite and efficient at checkout which made up for the disappointing service the night before. There was little airplane noise and no traffic noise overnight.

Room Tip: DON'T get a room starting with a 2 - not only will you get a lot of noise from the lounge all th...

We recently stayed at this hotel before an early morning flight at YYC. We booked the room on hotels.com, and it was reasonably priced but not cheap. The location is very good if you need to stay close to the airport - it was approximately a 5 minute drive from the terminal. We had rented a car but we saw a compliimentary hotel shuttle which left every 30 minutes.

Although the hotel looks pretty standard from the outside, the rooms are amazing. There was a 42 inch TV in the room, cordless phone and we had two queen size beds which were very comfortable. There was also an ipod player. The bathroom, however, was unbelievable. There was a small flatscreen TV that was perfect to watch while soaking in the large soaker tub (high sides, not a normal bathtub). The shower was also impressive - there were sideways jets that I've never seen anywhere else. They also had a high tech glass bathroom weigh scale. The complimentary toiletries were of a generous size and the hairdryer was of good quality as well.

We also ate at the restaurant. The pizza and pasta were pretty good, and reasonably priced ($14 each).

We weren't expecting a lot, seeing that this was a airport hotel and all, but we were very impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay there again. It's not that close to downtown but is perfect for a layover or early morning flight.

Stayed overnight at the Acclaim while in town shopping for the weekend. Stayed here because of the rating on Trip Advisor (#2 hotel in Calgary). Location was great-will definately stay here if flying out from Calgary airport. Very nice rooms. Loved the restaurant Pacini-had dinner and breakfast there.

We stayed here in May, 2011 when our daughter went to Australia. This hotel was AMAZING! The rooms are gorgeous...soaker tub, granite,TV in bathroom, big screen TV in main area and comfy beds. The onsite italian restaurant was fabulous! Delicious food, nice atmosphere. Roof top Jacuzzis with a view of downtown Calgary was beautiful at night. Close to the airport and deerfoot trail..a great hotel for shopping at Cross Iron Mills. A little off the beaten path but well worth it. This is our new 'go to' hotel when in Calgary

We stayed one night in the Acclaim when flying out from Calgary. What a great covenient location this is! Only a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel and we were out of our rental car on our way to the terminal.

The hotel itself is great. Our room was very nice and clean. Two very good beds in our room which gave us a good night of sleep. We needed that before travelling overseas! The room is modern and has everything for a wonderfull stay. Bathroom is very nice with a bath and a rainshower which was new to us but a great experience.

The hotel staff was efficient but not super friendly. We had a good reception but during our trip in Canada we have felt more welcome in other hotels. Perhaps the fact that this hotel often is used by business travellers the procedures are being kept more efficient. Welk they did help us out with our questions so all in all they did a good job.

The location is in a commercial zone being developed when we stayed there. There is nothing around (except a great restaurant) but what does one need when spending the night from and to the airport?

The restaurant next door is a beauty. Great atmosphere and delicious food at a reasonable price. We had diner and breakfast there and we loved it. Staff is super friendly and service is great. The food was excellent! A very good addon to the good hotel!

We would definately go back to this hotel again if flying into Calgary. The staff of the restauran tipped us there are more of them in the Eastern part of Canada so you bet will have our dinner there we we come across them.

Room Tip: Higher floors give a bit less noise

The beds are great. They have a deep tub in the bath. A TV in the bathroom. An incredible rain shower or 6 jet body washing faucet in this fabulous deep tub. The attached resturant is excellent. Free DVD's to watch with your in room player. IPod player, too. Clean and new. Overall, we loved the place.

Room Tip: EASY access to airport

Check-in was efficient though it could have been better if the Front Receptionists had paid more attention to details. We had to remind them our package was with breakfast for them to give us our breakfast vouchers, and we had to remind them again that we're staying for 2 nights for them to give us 2 sets of vouchers.

We arrived just in time to have late dinner at the Hotel Italian Restaurant, Pacini, which was closing at 11 pm. Food was good and service was great. Loved the free bread station. Breakfast was at the same Restaurant, and it's well worth the money to get the B & B package.

The room was well stocked with amenities: 2 complimentary bottles of water, Keurig coffee machine (though we didn't use it), and bathroom amenities including bath salt and shower cap (which are rarely seen in most Hotels), and shower massage panel with rain-shower head. Esp. loved having 2 desks in the room (one with make-up mirror), which are quite rare when most Hotels usually had 1 desk and 1 chair ~ we've brought 2 lap-tops so we didn't have to fight for space. The room would have been perfect if the beds were a little bit firmer.

Loved the complimentary wifi access and parking. Didn't have time to check out the rooftop spas which closed at 10 pm, nor the complimentary DVD rentals. Overall an enjoyable stay.
