This is a 3-star hotel with 4-star standards. Our family of 3 stayed in the hotel for one night for approx.160 USD. This airport hotel provides airport shuttles to and from the hotel 24-7. We found this convenient because we arrived in Calgary at midnight. After a brief talk with the hotel staff, I found out that the hotel was brand new and it was there for only 4 months. Our room was very clean with enough air-conditioning and there was a 42-inch LCD TV along with a smaller TV in the bathroom. To make our stay more cost-worthy, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast for all 3 of us. The breakfast was the best out of our 11 day vacation in US/Canada. In conclusion, our one night stay in Acclaim hotel is a worthwhile memory of our vacation.

Based on TripAdvisor recommendations, we stayed three nigths at the new Acclaim hotel.
At first glance, we wondered about the industrial neighborhood where the hotel is situated in Northwest Calgary. But , on reflection, it's very close to Hwy 2 and 5-8 minutes from Calgary International airport. No decent restuarants close by, but an easy drive down Barlow.
The faciltiy is very high end for a business-type facility. Rates are very reasonable, too.
The hotel is owned by local businessmen who supposedly are planning to start a chain, so this pilot facility is top notch in every way.
Beds were extra comfortable, good size rooms with digital wall thermostats for AC/heat (great bonus), bathrooms very nicely appointed, free breakfast is quite decent, (excellent sausages!!) flatscreen TVs, even a bathroom TV.
This hotel is at least 50-75% better than Holiday Inn, Clarion, Sheraton, Fairfield Inn, most Best Westerns, etc. No need to look further in Calgary.

A strange concept of a so-called "luxurious" hotel. Room is spacious, but with too many gadgets that make staying uncomfortable:
Who needs a TV in bathroom, or a wireless telephone, which is inconvenient, because you cannot dial and listen to menus at the same time ?...
There is an inconvenient toilet/makeup chair,
and above all: Coffee maker for ONE paper-cup at a time, which means about 12 minutes of preparations before 2 persons can sit and drink coffee together...
And there is NO mini-fridge, which is essential, much prior to a jet-pilot skill needed to operate the shower...
Reception clerck did not know to explain to us how to get oriented (gave insuficient & false information, with a bad map), about getting arround, and also wanted a special warranty of about $70 each, for a ragged bath-robe, while the hotel has NO swimming pool at all !
{Under these circumstances, Who needs a rugged bathrobe ?}
The hotel location is close to the airport, but in an isolated industrial site with no food or services...
You can cmpare this hotel to a military cook who gets good materials,
but cooks a bad meal !...
