“Good zoo, a few disappointments”

Enjoyed our visit, the animals looked happy and contented, except the Meerkats who looked bored. Would have rated higher if there hadnt been some empty enclosures and sometimes lacking signs and information, the Lions were not on show the day we were there, We saw the 3 tiger cubs but the farore around them made taking photos almost impossible. We didnt queue long to see the penguins, but we saved that part until last.

“Great day, one of the best Zoos”

Very clean with great facilities. Great to see large collection of domestic animals. African exhibit is good. Nice layout and overall appearance. Did not make it to Prehistoric park due to time constraints and already went to Tyrrell museum.

“Close up and personal”

Having visited Toronto's zoo, I thought I knew what to expect. A long walk with animals far in the distance. Not so!! Yes, its a long walk, but I didn't even notice that until we were headed home. The animals are kept in natural habitats but are very visible. You can get awesome photos! The staff is knowledgeable and they seem to really enjoy discussing the animals with visitors. Little exhibits, some interactive, between animal displays were very interesting. Two thumbs way up! I'll definitely be back!!

“A good day out”

An amazing zoo, well worth a visit, we were able to see the newly born tiger cubs.

The zoo is set on either side of the Bow River and is well landscaped and kept very clean.

Guided tours are available.

I am surprised that they do not do a family ticket so the only down side of this attraction is the cost!
