My husband and I hadn't planned to visit the tower but on passing thought it was worth a visit and it was. The staff are very friendly and the views are impressive. With paid $18 each which we thought was reasonable and a great way to see the city. The gift shop is extremely expensive though.

On my last day in Calgary I had to go to the tower! While it is not as exciting as going to top of Washington monument in DC, it is pretty darn great. There is a glass floor for thrill seekers (a small section of whole top of tower off to side so it can be avoided if you don't like view that looks like it is miles straight down). Young and old alike were enjoying the view despite it being a little bit cloudy that day. Rockies were visible but no too clear, but the closer buildings were amazing. There was even construction on the top of one, with cranes, workers etc, which was very interesting. Shows Calgary at its best, such a variety of beautiful buildings, mix of old and new.

Views change quite fast according to staff, so you take your chances at seeing mountains in distance, or the local buildings clearly. Day I went it was a bit overcast, which only affected seeing the mountains clearer.

There is admission, which is a little high for a family. Discounts for seniors. Well worth the admission, everyone, including me enjoyed themselves. No one was rushed, many people relaxed on the benches and took their time looking at each view, others walked around continually.

Cute photo opportunity with a huge moose tucked in a corner. Even has a giant Coke bottle to keep him company. Some of the kids were loving him up, others were not too crazy to go near him!

Of course you are going to be offered all sorts of Tower souvenirs, both on top and at base of tower. Coming off elevator, you must pass thru the gift shop to leave. Great marketing! I liked the variety, everything from postcards, kid toys (cheap to expensive), jewelry, cookies, jewelry, candy, books, t-shirts, hoodies, bags, cowboy items, cooking items, Christmas ornaments, some with Canadian theme and some Tower theme. Everything there was well made and appealing. Nice mix of inexpensive to pretty expensive, I ended up with maple sandwich cookies with cream inbetween, and some cute tea towels to take home.

Restaurant on top, smelled wonderful, but I had other plans for lunch.

Must see! Great views of the city, and the glass floor at the top was fun to stand on and see the world moving beneath you. Scary but awesome!

We visited the tower, I had read other reviews about people being disappointed. It is what it is, the views are great and unrestricted but they are just views of the city. The price is fair for the lift up and it takes about a hour for a slow walk round looking.
We had a drink in the bar, we found the abut pushy trying to get us to eat as well.
Overall it is what it is, a tower with views, the glass floor it is good

Our last night treat; the tower and dinner at the top. Very worthwhile; great views; occasional pauses in rotation were interesting. Been up a lot of towers around the world and this one holds its own
