We are in the process of moving to Calgary and as we had just flown in to the city from our vacation, we stayed here one night before getting possession of our new home. Very comfortable and modern room. Loved the bright decor and the very bright bathroom! Very Ikea like :)
Check in service was great, no complaintsthere, however, the restaurant dowstairs is another story. Extremely poor service, and bad food. Saving Ric's Grill for another review. As for the hotel itself, a definite YES if you want to stay.

Last night Sept 6, 2012 I stayed here for one night. My flight was let so I did not arrive at the hotel until 12:45am. The bed has hard as a board, the pillows like rocks and the air conditioner noisier than the planes at the airport. I had a 4:30 am wakeup.... But didn't get much sleep. Stay somewhere else, is my recommendation. On the plus side, the room is large, and remodeled.

Room Tip: Ask for a bed that isn't as hard as rocks.

Thanks very much for reaching out to us.

We apologize that you felt you did not have a great sleep with us when you stayed. Our beds are normally what guests rave about when they stay with us.

We are actually a new property built in May of 2010. So yes - our rooms are quite spacious and modern. We realized this year that our air conditioning units could be a bit better, and thus we are near completed on brand new ac units in each of the rooms.

We met some family for the weekend at this hotel. When booking we asked for two rooms close together. When we checked in we were pleased to learn that we had adjoining rooms. Nice.
The check in was painless and the staff were professional.
The housekeeping staff were friendly and prompt, with smiles on their faces.
Pool area was clean, however the hot tub was signed as out of order. When we explained to the kids that we couldn't use it they were disappointed, and when several men disregarded the sign and used the tub anyway, the kids were confused. We asked at the front counter and were told there were no problems with the hot tub and seemed surprised that there was a sign.
The parking lot is a bit cramped and if parking anything larger than a compact be prepared for door dings.(thanks to the driver of the blue mini van for the ding on my black car...shows up real well.
The location is convenient and close to all amenities, such as the Sunridge Mall, and several other locations.
Checkout was smooth and painless.
All in all a good experience.

This place is now the standard that all airport hotels in area will judged against. It is clearly focused on business travellers, but we loved it for a family getaway weekend.

Quick check-in, large very clean rooms with great beds and TVs. It's very new and the decor is ultra modern -- no drawers just baskets in cubby holes. I loved the room layout with the long desk, office chair and good wi-fi for getting work done. Also had a nice easy chair with ottoman and a little pullout table to eat room service on. The bathroom is bright white with a great vanity. In the armoire was a small fridge, microwave, safe that held my laptop, ironing board and iron and lots of hangers including skirt and pant hangers.

Ric's Grill was the best airport hotel restaurant I've eaten in for years. Kids buffet for breakfast was around $8, adult $12 to 14.

Only a few minor concerns: pool was small, and the above ground parking did not appear to have plug-ins (for winter plug-ins). There is is underground parking too, but we didn't use it. And it is not right on the edge of the airport - shuttle was about 20 minutes.

All in all, a great place.

Room Tip: Try the craft beers in the lounge.

I stayed here for one night. The rooms were extremely spacious, modern, and clean. We left our baggage (and unpacked a little) in our room to do a little sightseeing. When we returned, I noticed our A/C wasn't working so we called the front desk. They sent an individual who was extremely surly and a somewhat bad attitude to address this issue. He stated the A/C wasn't working and that we should move to another room. However, he didn't apologize once for the inconvenience and treated us as though we were a nuisance. He wanted us to move right away and that he wanted our room cards right away. When I told him to give us a little time to move, he seemed slightly perturbed by that. When I went down to the front desk to pick up our new room cards, the front desk barely acknowledged me and didn't apologize for the inconvenience at all.

I would have given a 4/5 or 5/5 if the hotel had provided some decent service. Otherwise, the place is a decent value for the money given its nice rooms and facilities. It would be nice if they provided a free breakfast, too.

We booked this place online with a discount price. I was a little skeptical at the beginning. However, to my surprise, it turned out to be a very nice stay. The room is quite spacious, bathroom is clean. And they gave free water. It is also very close to the supermarket called "Super Store", which is very much like Walmart, or Costco, where we got lots of stuff before our road trip to Banff. Finally, it is very close to downtown Calgary. I would recommend this place to my friends, who are planning to visit next year.

We booked this online and got a great rate, especially if you compare prices to some of the lesser quality chain hotels. Check in was literally less than a minute, the rooms were clean and spacious. The location is close to the airport, but we did not notice and noise from the planes. The beds were extremely comfortable. We will stay there again anytime we go to Calgary.
