One of the best places to grab brunch in the city. Usually doesn't have nearly as big a lineup as OEB and food is definitely as good or better. Dinner is also quite good here... Hard to go wrong.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Laurier Lounge on a Saturday evening in August. They were busy, but service had a good pace and we never felt crammed by other tables.

We opted to order a number of small plates for sharing, including a cheese fondue. Everything was delicious. Our only complaint was that we ordered five plates with an expectation that they would come staggered over a period of time. Instead, they all arrived at the same time and our small, romantic table setting quickly became difficult to manage and crowded by plates. Perhaps I need to be more clear when ordering....

Dessert was a treat, chocolate fondue with a very dense banana bread that is delicious.

I have been for lunch before, and this was our first dinner experience at Laurier Lounge. We will be back.

HI all!
Randomly tried this spot last week. Must say i was beyond pleased. The staff was attentive, down to earth and very friendly. We sat on the patio because the weather was warm so we didnt have the chance to experience the warm and lush little rooms. The menu was small but refined. Ordered the Fondue experience which included Bread/cheese, Seafood/tomato bisque and the chocolate finale with strawberries, banana bread, pineapple and banana. It was divine and slightly gluttonous but shared was perfect. It is definitely now on my "bring visitors to try" list.

The restaurant is located in downtown Calgary in a period house. Lots of quaint little rooms and an outdoor patio.
We were delighted that the server was able to accede to our request that the music (which was not excessive anyway) was turned down.
The menu has a varied selection of 'small plates' which are great for sharing. The fondu portion would have served about 3 or 4 people and was excellent. Thank you Martin.

We popped in for a drink and decided to have a snack, the brucetta was amazing. The beef skewers were tender and tasty. We will be back for the fondue!!
