“Sit at the bar!”

I've read some poor reviews about this place, which somewhat surprises me.

I guess the difference is I sat at the bar, alone, so the bartender made sure to take good care of me. I felt this place was very warm, and welcoming, the food was good, not amazing. Loved the bread grill idea.

Price was right where I expected it to be. All in all, I felt this place was pretty darn good.

“A very negative experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

We went to Pacini tonite with two couples who were staying in the Acclaim hotel. At first we were told there were no tables available immediately. Then when we asked if we could split up into two tables they took us right in to what was a table that seated eight. We had six adults and two children in our party. Twice the hostess pointed out to us that we were very "lucky" we got the table because someone else cancelled. This was offensive to hear as a paying customer. In fact, they were "lucky" we choose to eat there. A very poor choice of words indeed. The hostess working tonite should not have a job after displaying such an attitude. We were then told that children counted as adults and that any table with eight or more had to pay a 18% gratuity. We asked to speak to the manager. He quickly dismissed this and told us the gratuity would be at our discretion. Turns out our server was great. However, the food was very average and coupled with the hostess' level of professionalism we would never return nor recommend this restaurant. There are other choices out there people, and never make someone feel like you are "lucky" to eat in their restaurant. Period.

“If you are desperate for something to eat...”

Slow indifferent service even when restaurant almost empty.
Warm water.
Stick to soups and salads and antipasto meat tray.
Bread bar....ridiculous.
Expensive.
Did I actually add a 15% tip to a bill that had already added the tip?!!!

“Awesome Italian Food.”

Wide selection of excellent food. Great wine list. Service was superb. Prices were appropriate. Interesting bread roasting station where you could choose your own breads and toppings.

“Beware celiacs!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Ordered off the gluten free menu (nice they had one) and explained to server it was an allergy and important to avoid cross contamination. When the Cesar salad came it had croutons! This is not good. Sent it back and it was replaced but no one thought it to apologize for the error. Otherwise the meal was okay, service nothing special and definitely pricier then other Italian in the northeast. Not likely to return.
