We've stayed at several Best Western's throughout the U.S. and Canada, but this one has to be the best. The hotel itself was very good: clean, good size rooms, great restaurants. What really sets it apart is the wonderful staff they have there. The desk staff was so helpful in directing us to the bus and light rail system which allowed us easy access to Calgary and its many features. Both the desk staff and the waitstaff knew us by the second day and made our stay very enjoyable!

It's not 5 star but I have rarely found a hotel with such completely welcoming service and attitude at all times. The room was spacious, well equipped, good bed and bathroom, very quiet at the end of a corridor. The bacon at breakfast was correctly crispy and the food choice good enough for any chain hotel. Very late arrival (11pm) because of delays handled very very well by the wholly unfazed night manager (we had called ahead) at the desk and the attached clean bar cafe provided well cooked if un-fancy food despite being past the listed closing time. With the extra runway at Calgary it's now either wait for the regular free shuttle or pay a few dollars for a taxi ride that has to go all round the airport. No aircraft noise noted.

Room Tip: Ask for end of corridor corner room - tends to have an extra lobby door which keeps noise down.

Had a nice staff but when I went for breakfast, I was told that I had to pay for my meals. Meanwhile I'm a best western Gold Elite member, meaning I've stayed severally in BW and their complimentary breakfast was among the things I looked forward to. Aside that everything else was superb.

Good hotel. Great service. Great location. Staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and modernized. I would highly recommend. They have airport shuttle so u will have to arrange with them. They are close to calgary airport. It is further from downtown / city centre

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Calgary. Upon entering the hotel in the lobby you can see the awesome waterpark for the kids. My kids (5 & 9) love the water slides and the pool area. I always request a poolside room ( for the kids and because I hate elevators ). If in a poolside room your door leads out to the pool, not running around the hotel in wet swimsuits and towels. For safety that door that connects to the pool area locks at night until the pool area is open again in the morning.
The decor in the room is average, nothing special.
The location could be a plus or minus. It is extremely close to the airport with a shuttle service which is great for travellers. That being said it is close to an airport so you get the noise from the planes constant...only in some rooms. I do not hear them in poolside rooms but I am also out as soon as my head hits a pillow :)
There is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel as well. I have been in the restaurant for breakfast which was decent.
The staff is great. They are very friendly and the only time we ever had a problem, (the pool area had to be shut down for the night, the reason we come) the staff comped us a free movie and pizza for us to watch with the kids. Outstanding service.
The outside of the hotel could use an upgrade , if you judged this book by its cover you may want to drive by and miss the gem that is inside.

Room Tip: Love the poolside rooms :)

Although I was there for business, I would love to come back and bring my family! The waterslides and pool area were awesome and everyone there seem to be having a great time! If you are hoping to stay on your poolside patio for longer than 10:30pm - you probably won't be able as the lights are turned out and the staff will come to lock you in to your room from pool side - nothing to complain about - you so you are all aware of the time frame in which you will have lights.
