stayed 1 night at beginning of our trip through Rockies. Very central location so ideal for seeing the city. We found the room huge with seperate lounge and kitchen (we only had the basic room). Everything was clean and we had a great sleep as it was quiet despite being in the city. Breakfast was nice, we had a la carte as did not like the look of the buffet.

I stayed here as part of a group, quite a small lobby area but once i got into my room I was amazed by the size of it, they are huge! The bedroom was seperate from the rest of the room, was kind of like being in a 1 bedroom suite, the lounge area was big and comfy with a sofa and 2 other comfy chairs. Was also a big dining table which suprised me. Had like a mini kitchen with a big fridge and a microwave and coffee machine.
Hotel is in a really good location to downtown Calgary and the hotel is also linked by one of the overhead walkways.
Would definately stay here again.

This is our first visit to Canada and we were very impressed with the International Hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful and our suite was enormous. The furnishings appeared to be new and the suite was serviced daily. The bed was supremely comfortable and gigantic, we both slept extemely well. Nice toiletries and large towels were provided. The bathroom was a little dated but spotlessly clean. It is in an ideal location and once we had parked the car in the underground parkade we walked everywhere. Would recommend to others.

Room Tip: We were on the 5th floor and had a corner room. It was very quiet but because of the surrounding skyscrapers, a little gloomy. Otherwize an excellent base for the start of our holiday.

I was here with a friend and we had been traveling around Canada. It was our first time to Calgary and this hotel helped us out with everything! When we arrived the room was ready early and getting a room went very smoothly. It was in a great location right in downtown calgary, we were able to walk everywhere. We went to the Calgary tower which was only about 10 minutes walking from the hotel, Parisa one of the girls from the front desk gave us directions to anywhere we wanted to go. She was very helpful and accomodating.

The rooms were very large, we had a 2 bedroom suite and for the 2 of us it was more than enough room. When we went into our room it was spotless so very good cleaners.

We also had time to have breakfast in the hotel and though it seemed very busy the staff handled it well. There were not many of them so im not sure how they served so many people.

The night before we left we went down to the front desk after hearing from other guests that the front desk was able to print off tickets for our flight and check us in. Another front desk staff a young girl named Peri if i remember right was so great! She spent time checking us into our flight and helped us get all our travel documents organised. We felt so comfortable being here and so welcome!

If we are ever able to return to Calgary this will be our first choice for hotels.

Room Tip: I would suggest a corner suite as we were next to an elevator and it was a little loud hearing it going up and down all night.

On entering this hotel the lifts face you and we almost missed the reception and check in desk as it was situated away off to the right. The hotel is well situated and only a 10 minute walk to Stephen Avenue. Our suite was very spacious with a lounge area and separate bedroom. The bathroom was a good size too however the kitchen facilities were extremely disappointing. A kettle, microwave and fridge were provided but the only sink was in the bathroom. No crockery or cutlery are provided so if you want to eat in your, room take your own. We found it difficult to sleep as the bedroom was too warm and the air conditioning was located in the lounge and did not seem to reach the bedroom. There was also a door leading out from the lounge direct onto the upper level of the car park, which was a bit disconcerting. We had asked for a high floor and away from the lifts, but were given a suite on the 3rd floor, there is no 2nd floor, and right next to the lift! We visited during the Stampede so the hotel was quite busy, but the bar was closed before 10.15pm the day we arrived. We had our evening meal in the bar the following evening as the restaurant was closed! On the day of our departure we had breakfast in the cafe/restaurant. We were ushered to a small table for 2 and ordered our breakfast but when the plates arrived we had to move to a larger table to accommodate the plates etc. I had to send my eggs back as they were not cooked and when they came back I had to ask for my toast that had been taken away with the eggs. The staff were surly and unhelpful and not very "tidy". Sorry but I would not recommend this hotel at all and I have given it 3 stars only because the room itself was clean and spacious otherwise it would have been a 1!
