We enjoyed this hotel. It was close to a lot and within walking distance of the Calgary Tower. The suite was wonderful and very big. There were 3 of us and we had 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and 1 with twin beds, a large sitting room, dining area and kitchenette. All the beds were so comfortable What a pleasant surprise. The included breakfast was delicious with great choices, including fresh waffles you could make. The biggest problem was the elevators, I think 1 was broken and after waiting almost 20 minutes we finally walked down 5 flights of steps, not easy for my husband with knee problems. When we came up from the parking garage, I actually ran up a flight of steps to push the down button so we could get on the elevator with our bags. Every time we needed the elevator it was at least a 15 minute wait. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Everyone who worked there were very helpful, very nice staff.

We spent 4 nights at the International, after buying through Hotels.com. The location is central to downtown restaurants (4 blocks easy walk). The rooms are former apartments, so lots of room with a separate bedroom. Place has been updated in the last few years, so happy with upgrades. Our price included a hot continental breakfast each morning too. The lounge is a bit dated, but still friendly staff. The only issue is the elevators. They don't always work, and it can cause some issues when only 1 of 3 can be used to shuttle guests. They could use a freight elevator to take the pressure off the guest elevators.

Good sized room with a big comfortable bed and choice of TV channels. The complimentary breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful. Our room was very quiet and we slept well. My partner dislikes hotels as he finds them very noisy so we asked for a corner room as our first room was by the lift. This was no problem and done immediately by the staff who completely understood. This made our stay so much more enjoyable.

What a surprise to find such a spacious room - almost like having an apartment in the city. It had a separate large bedroom with an additional tv, a livingroom area with two chairs, a sofa, and coffee tables, a bath, plus a kitchen area and a large dining/conference table with six chairs. Service was excellent and breakfast was included. It was close to the downtown pedestrian mall and restaurants.

Thought this hotel was great. Room was large with different areas - eating with kitchen facilities, lounging with sofa/TV and bedroom/bathroom. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary and again very good. Would recommend. (We didn't do this but saw a bus to the airport nearby.) Near restaurants - 6/7/8 avenue?

This hotel was amazing!!!

We were in Calgary for a romantic weekend and to see a few friends. My boyfriend found this on hotels.com days before the weekend for a little over 130$ CAD.

We got a HUGE room with a living room and a meeting/business area equipped with microwave, sink, and glasses. I was so surprised it was a conference sweet with so much room! 2 TVs-- one in the living area and one in the bedroom. The bed was cozy and the pillows were soft.

The location is downtown Calgary which was close to everything and a walk to Julio's barrio Mexican Cantina.

The staff were attentive and nice.

Don't miss the free breakfast in the hotel dining area. It was amazing! Continental breakfasts are usually bagels and yogurt but this had bacon, eggs, fruit and potatoes. Everything was hot and yummy and started your day off right! Totally surprised!

For a little romantic weekend this hotel really surpassed my expectations.

This hotel was included in a package rail and sail vacation my husband I took from July 6-20. Calgary was the our first stop and we had just found out that the Stampede was in town at the same time. We thought it might be really hectic and crowded but the city does a great job and we had a wonderful time. We were only here for a 1 night stay but, the hotel was very clean, the staff were most helpful and the free breakfast was good. With the multiple tour companies using this hotel, the lobby, which is quite small, was packed the morning of our leave with guest awaiting for their buses along with their luggage. The small lobby is the only thing I would improve on for this hotel. It was located in a good area that we were within walking distance to many things; Calgary Tower, many choices for food on 8th street and around there and of course the Calgary Stampede during our visit. If in Calgary again, I would not hesitate to stay here.
