Overall a good clean place to stay. The only down side was the hotel itself does not have much around it, however the amenities at the hotel are very good. The dining at the hotel was excellent, large portions and good prices.

I have stayed at the Glenmore Inn on numerous occasions the last few years, most recently in early January 2014. I always seem to get the garden room section, which is very dated and noisy. Every sound echo's from restaurant clatter to people talking all the way down the hallway. If you are real lucky, you'll get a room next to someone who has their "YAPPY" chihuahua on vacation. The rooms are poorly designed, they have the desk area right in front of the TV, if there was more than one person in a room, the person working on their computer would be blocking the view of the person trying to watch TV. On my last stay, an electrical outlet face plate was broken; an infant could easily stick an object through the opening and get zapped. I wrote this down on the maintenance card in the morning and they did repair it by the time I returned from being out for the day.

The buffet is fine and the restaurant has a typical menu and it's adequate for the price. I did enjoy the lounge, the staff there are very friendly and it's a good place to relax and check the sports scores before settling in for the evening. The pool is ok and they have a nice water slide for kids.

This location has a "TRUCK STOP" feel, without the diesel engines roaring all night. If you book this accommodation you will have an average experience. It would be fine if passing through Calgary with a sports team. The tower section is supposed to have renovated rooms, every time I inquire about an upgrade there is none available even though the parking lot is less than half full. When I stay at the Glemore it is booked in advance by the company I work for. If I were staying in Calgary on my own dime, I likely wouldn't stay here. There are plenty of modern accommodations for the same price point in South East section of the city.

Room Tip: Try for a room in the tower section, they are supposed to be renovated.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March on business trip. Hotel is located more in the industrial area of Calgary, but was quiet. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, there are 3 restaurants but we ate each night in the bar, and everything we had was great. The bartender, sorry I didn't get his name was very friendly and always remembered us, what we liked to drink and eat.

Upon entering the room you will notice it has a lot of space. The room was spotless. When I turned down the bedspread perfectly clean. The first night was a great nights sleep. On the second night something in the ductwork woke me up at 4 am. It would make a noise every few minutes. It was too late to switch rooms or even begin to fix the problem.

A very good hotel for business meetings or for sports teams to stay at.

I attended business meetings here and the meeting rooms and hotel rooms were very good. Staff were all excellent. Rooms were clean. Restaurants were very good.

My overall experience was good. Room was very cold and took a long time to warm up (by morning) even after setting the temperature quite high. I was attending a seminar at the hotel. Lunch was provided and was excellent.
