“What A Great Way to End 2007”

The relaxing experience starts at the entrance to the hotel and gets better all the time. Staff are helpful, friendly but not over the top as in some places; the rooms are incredibly clean, the fitness facilities are in excellent shape, and the space to relax is large. It has to be the best in Calgary!

Clean, good service, nice rooms. The restaurants were both pretty good, although Finn MacCool's was a bit noisy and uncomfortable for dining. Good connection to Plus-15 system and downtown.

Had a one night stay in mid-november.

Was booked into, and received, a small suite with two queen beds. This was first stay at this hotel, it is always full when I come to Calgary and I usually end up at the Delta (yuck) or the Westin (better).

The room consists of a small kitchen/desk area, leading into the "living" area with sofa and TV. The bedroom had two queen beds crammed into it, the bathroom door not quite clearing the second bed. A small bathroom "ante-room" with sink has a door leading into the toilet/shower area. I understand this set up for the suite, it just makes better sense. But - I continue to rail against the separation of sink/toilet in hotel rooms. It should all be in one room! Personal preference I guess.

I ordered room service (something I never do) except it was snowing and cold outside and I didn't come prepared to brave the elements. It was typically overpriced, but presentation was good, as it was certainly edible.

The room was nice and quiet, and the temperature controls worked perfectly (another bugaboo of mine). All in all it is a nice suite-style alternative to your average business class hotel.

Would I stay again? Sure - though since our office moved it is a bit further away than the westin/delta - it probably just depends what time of year I'm there.

  • Disliked — $14.00 /24 hours of internet - c'mon Sheraton! It's free in alot of hotels!

I stayed here over a year ago and I have just neglected to write a review but I really should as this hotel is awesome. We stayed for 7 days. We were there to visit family. I travelled with my mother and 2 1/2 year old son. The pool is very nice, the club lounge food and service is very good, the room was very clean. The park right next to the hotel was a great place to spend time. All in all the hotel was great!!! I will definitly stay here again.

This is a very good place to stay to see Calgary and a good starting or end point for a trip to the rockies.

The rooms are a very good size and of a very high standard and comfortable beds. The hotel service is also very good. We were lucky and got complementary valet parking and breakfast. The hotel is used for conferences and weddings, so the lobby can be busy at times. The only problem was waiting for the valet parking at busy times, so give then 20mins notice when checking out.

The location is ideal within easy walking distance of China Town, city shopping, heritage area, museums, Eau Claire market, cinema, river front, Calgary Tower etc.

The Irish pub (Fionn Maccool's) next door serves good food and drinks at moderate prices and the Bow River Barley Mill is a very good bar/restaurant within 100m.

had another nice stay last month. had a couple of problems...tv was unplugged for some reason and had to climb in behind cabinet to fix it. and seemed that i was allergic to something in the room...my friends wondered about the humidifiers in the rooms, or maybe previous pet stay? hmm...

and park across the street. credit card swipe for $2 per day on weekends. but this is good till 6 am the next day. so go swipe at midnite so you don't have to get up early as a previous poster mentioned. paid $4 for the whole weekend instead of hotel parking at $24 per nite.
