“Very comfortable”
Reviewed 17 September 2010

We stayed here to be close to the airport for an early flight and it was the perfect choice. It was at the end of our vacation in Canada and we availed of the hotel's free shuttle twice...once to return our rented car to the airport the evening before our flight and again next morning for our flight. It is an excellant service...polite friendly drivers both times. If you require the shuttle from the airport, you just have to call the hotel from the free yellow phone, which you will find on the wall where all the hotel shuttles depart at the airport .
Even though it is close to the airport we didn't hear any planes and had very sound sleep.
The rooms are nicely decorated, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi looked great but we didn't have time to use them.
Even though we were up at 4 am the hotel made breakfast available and it was good too. You help yourself but everything you need is there.
There is a nice restaurent next door...Chilis ....and would recommend this also.
Our only regret was our stay was so short. This was without doubt the nicest hotel of our 2 week trip and we would have liked to stay longer.
Good staff too....friendly and professional.

We stayed at this hotel on 2 separate occasions this month. The service and staff are friendly and welcoming and the check in and check out are quick and efficient. The rooms are extremely clean, quite and very comfortable. Flat screen satellite TVs, very comfortable beds and quality linens. The bathrooms are modern and very clean. We enjoyed the pool and exercise facilities as well as the complementary Wi Fi and business centre. The complementary continental breakfast includes a wonderful assortment of fresh baked items as well as a good variety of cereals and breads, fresh fruit, waffles, egg dishes, coffees, teas, juices, etc. and a friendly helpful staff to help you with your choices. We will certainly stay at this hotel again when traveling through Calgary. Best value I have had at a hotel for a long time.

The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable I believe the nicest I've stayed in. We liked the hotel pool and hot tub. Computer to use if needed. Loved to breakfast!! Variety of food to choose from. Close enough to walk to the bus and C-train if needed. Some restaurants close by.

We chose this hotel because of the great reviews on trip advisor. The standard of the rooms and facilities were even better that expected. The staff were amazing and it was great to enjoy the pool, internet and complementary breakfast. A great stay.

Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were clean & modern. Beds very comfortable. Quiet. Free parking. Continental breakfast was the same as most other continental breakfasts... not exciting but filling and free. Employees friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. And they had delicious cookies at the front desk!

Only staying one night - we thought our suite was perfect for families. We stayed in a roomy one bedroom suite - TV's in each room. The main room included a small fridge, sink and microwave. The sofa bed was adequate with lots of extra blankets. My overall impression was the the hotel was well kept and clean, including our suite. The air out-take/fan in the bathroom was not adequate for clearing the steam after our individual showers - more powerful fans needed, I think.

Lots of alternatives at breakfast - included in the price. Cereals, yogurt, previously frozen berries and fresh fruit. You could make waffles or breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, sausage, salsa and tortillas. Lots of different bagels and breads as well as pastries. Coffee wasn't great - but it was hot and there was plenty of it. Juices were also available.

The Pool area was small - lots of guests enjoying - also a fitness centre which we did not use. Well located to airport, Calgary Zoo and not bad to get downtown.

The service here was great!

We used Calgary zoo hotel package deal which included zoo admission for family of 4, free breakfast, hotel backpack with zoo themed sticker book, coloring stuff, and zoo drinking cup for each child, and zoo drink coupons, so I would say it was a very good deal.
Hotel staff at the reception was very nice and accommodating, and the small lobby area had a book shelf that you can borrow books from during your stay as well as free cookies at the reception for the guests.
The suite was very clean and neat, the living room was seperated from the bedroom, and there was fridge, microwave, and TV in the living room. There was another TV in the bedroom as well. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were spotless too.
Despite the fact that the suite looked very clean, I noticed the smell was not that fresh. The spotless looking pillows smelled heavily like oily hair, which made me almost wanting to peek inside the pillowcase. Which I didn't. The carpet looked very clean but it also smelled not very clean, so the suite overall felt stuffy. But I felt same thing last year when I stayed in Sheraton Cavalier hotel (which smelled like swimming pool everywhere due to their famous waterslides), so it could be just me.
There was Chilis and Burger King right next door, and Tim Hortons across the street, which was very convenient. There was list of restaurants that would deliver to the hotel in the suite.
The swimming pool was very basic, nothing fancy, but clean and spacious enough. Most of all it was not that busy, so we had the whole smimming pool and hot tub to ourselves most of times.
Breakfast continental buffet was okay in terms of menu. They had two waffle makers with syrup, and a few different kinds of coffee, teas, fruit punches, yogurts, cereals, fruits, many selection of bread and muffin. One of two toasters didn't work, and my fruit punch from dispenser tasted like water, but some staff tried to fix it. Only thing that disturbed me at the breakfast was one of the staff who worked there. She was a middle aged woman with European accent who looked very busy. When I tried to figure out how to use waffle maker she almost yelled at me from a distance, and when I and my girls tried to grab our food from the buffet tables she held my girls shoulders and shifted them out of her way a couple of times, so she could keep 'working'. It was not very nice.
I think overall it was very great value, but I wouldn't mind trying different hotel next time.
