We were fortunate enough to find this B&B on Trip Advisor. We were only staying in Calgary 1 night, boy we were sorry when we found this gem!!! wished we could have stayed longer, if only for the excellent hospitality given by Jonathan and Graham, that alone was worth the 10 hour flight.

We were welcomed by Graham wearing an Everton F.C. shirt - that's one of our local football team's, as at it happens - our team, so we knew we were onto a good start right away. Nothing was a problem, they gave us information on sightseeing and some local places to eat. We turned right as we left their home and found an excellent restaurant which had been recommended by Graham, also found the local Safeway. Took a good long walk and then unfortunately the jet lag kicked in.

We went back to the B&B, got some ice off Graham and sat outside in the garden, under the apple tree and enjoyed a long cool G & T - heaven. Graham asked if he could join us and we spent a good hour just chatting and watching the world go by.

Bedroom was amazing, bed was so comfortable and all the home comforts in the bathroom was a really lovely touch, we didn’t need to unpack our toiletries - well apart from toothpaste & brush, there was everything in there - better stocked than some 4 star hotels we've stayed in.

Breakfast – well!!! As other people have said, their attention to detail was flawless, I had to take a photograph - which doesn't do it justice, there was everything, all the china and crystal was shining. The breakfast was unbelievable – don’t think they missed anything out.

We were welcomed into their home as friends, not paying guests and treated more like one of the family, our only regret - we were not staying there longer. It would make another trip to Calgary worthwhile. Position is great, the parking behind the house is perfect and put us straight onto the road to drive through the Rockies

Would we recommend it - 1000% would we go back - ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Thank you both for giving us a truly memorable stay in Calgary

Jonathan and Graham were superb hosts. As a solo traveller I was made to feel I was being welcomed into a friend's home. I agree with all of the other good reviews regarding facilities etc. but what made it extra special for me was the communial Breakfast table. What a great idea for getting everyone - inc J & G - chatting, sharing ideas about where to go / what to see and making friends. By the way, I stayed in the very comfortable Hamilton room. Walk into town along the Elbow River, only 25 minutes and stunning views - the route via 4th Street will introduce you to a fantastic range of restaurants

We really enjoyed our stay at Westways! The home is very interesting with lots of antiques to view and the china, silver and crystal place settings at breakfast made us feel like royalty. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious with just the right amount of variety - lots of fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, scones, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. If you walk away hungry, it's your own fault as the portions are quite ample. The hosts were charming and made sure their guests were comfortable. The bedrooms and baths we stayed in were exceptionally large with cable TV, music, and room darkening curtains for those who like to sleep past sunrise. Our room even had a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. There is a small bar area on the 3rd floor where guests can prepare their own coffee/tea, a small microwave for warming up leftovers and a small refrigerator. Very handy! Another perk is that guests may use their computer/printer. Westways offers wireless and CAT5 internet connections (secured).

Where to begin - Jonathon and Graham are two personable relaxed yet professional hosts who put a capital "S" in the word service. Their attention to every detail, mouth watering culinary capabilities, amazing decor, endless creature comforts and surprising state of the art electronics in their rooms, good insulation to ensure quiet peaceful stays, and genuine joy in what they do, made for one of the most amazing B&B experiences we ever had, hands down. They set the bar high for the competition. Location was convenient to all services and pleasures. You won't find better.

The house is beautiful, full of period furnishings... You eat breakfast from silver art nouveau cutlery and drink from crystal. The owners are unpretentious and clearly love what they do. Breakfast is superb and changes every day. The rooms are more comfortable than at home... our room had a balcony, spa tub, relaxing chairs, access to a small kitchen, and a wonderful bed. The hosts went out of their way to make us welcome, and this set them apart. The house is in a great area - safe, close to the town centre and to buses. Can't recommend them highly enough!
