My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel at either end of a trip to Costa Rica.
The first night on the way out we had a lovely king size room for $229. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate dinner in the lounge downstairs and the food was good. Reception was so polite and helpful.
On the way back from our trip we didn't have a reservation at the hotel as we had no idea how on time our flight would be. We got in at 1:00am and went to the Delta to see if we could get a room for the evening. We were offered a room for $169. "Wow" I thought. A better price without a reservation.....I was so wrong.
The room we got was facing the mezzanine so the windows don't open. The room was quite warm and the air conditioner was just noisy as opposed to cooling. And the bed....a queen size Murphy bed. A Murphy Bed??? In a Delta??? The bed wasn't level, it sloped top to bottom and right to left. However, the room was very clean.
I was so exhausted from our 7 hour flight that I slept anyways. My husband, not so much.
If we hadn't had a Murphy bed on our second trip through, I probably would have given this hotel a five for customer service and cleanliness, etc....But a Murphy Bed???More
