Owner description: Come and experience life as a firefighter as you enter our gallery and learn about the history and the longstanding legacy of fighting fires in Calgary and surrounding areas.Established in 1986, the Firefighters Museum of Calgary is home to an extensive collection of firefighting equipment from the early 1900s to the present; including hand drawn, horse drawn and motorized apparatus. There are photographs, artwork, memorabilia, and historical documents dating from the inception of the Calgary Fire Department until now.

Next to working fire station my son is now 12 but he enjoyed seeing the fire engine go out of the station next door, child friendly ideal age range 7 to 12, staff really good and one gave us a guide tour. Worth the visit
