This is a lovely hotel. Located right in the middle of everything. A huge lobby. Friendly staff. Large rooms. Continental breakfast that is lovely and quite reasonable. When checking in be sure to specify that you want to be away from the side next to the railway!

Room Tip: Street noise can be a problem. Ask for an upper floor.

Thank you! Yes, non-trackside can proove to be more quiet, though we too, never know when the trains will come by - we remember the days when the trains connected Canada by rail...May we see you again soon!

The room was very comfortable, the value was unexpectedly great, and the staff were all very helpful and attentive. The location is ideal for multiple activities in town. This is definitely the place to stay in downtown Calgary!

Great location but tired with a tiny gym and charge for wireless. Staff were helpful and i liked the on line check in option but it was very expensive, including the breakfast buffet. This is not dissimilar to my experience at other city based Fairmont properties who seem to falling behind their four star peers in amenities and value for money.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service! I My hotel room was recently renovated on the 10th floor. My room was very quiet with a view of Calgary Tower. Very quiet hotel. I loved the breakfast buffet, fantastic, especially the smoothie. Everyone was very friendly and the service exceptional.

The Palliser is the Grand Dame of Calgary hotels.

Brunch is very good in fact best in Calgary it's set up as a bunch of stations outside of the main dining room and bar.

Average of the patrons is 70+ with their grandchildren and extended family.

Quality of the food is very good but it is dated. We probably go a couple times of year especially when trying to find a place that appeals to older family members. This place will always be a hit with them.

That would be nice if they changed it up with that but maybe that's what most of the customers want something tried and true.

It was a great room, newly renovated, perfect bathroom!
Cons: noise from the street at night, wi fi s not free???!!! Come on! The bed was soooo nice and comfy and pillows too.
Other than that everything was great. The location s awesome, staff s super polite. Comparing to the Fairmont in Dallas, tx this one at least doesn't have problems with a/c.

Really nice hotel celebrating 100 years today (Sunday 15th June) We had a refurbished room. Not huge rooms but very comfortable with all the somethings. Great food in a fantastic casual sports type bar / restaurant. Moet Nectar by the glass, unfortunately my wife has a penchant for that! Recommend the Clam chowder followed by a blue cheese salad and steak.
This hotel was built in the early days when the railway came through and you can imagine what it must have been like in those days. Breakfast I thought was a bit expensive for what you get . Overall from a bloke that travels a lot this was a beautiful old hotel with lots of character smack in the heart of Calgary.

Room Tip: Not sure how many floors have been refurbished yet but the 10th floor is definitely one
