“What a nightmare”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

We had to take a family member to the Tom Baker Cancer Center. My husband booked a room that was locationaly convenient and we arrived at this place. The room smelled there was water damage over the door and dust, crumbs, and dead flies in the room. The corner of the vanity was broken in three large pieces that were just layer back in place. I touched it and they fell to the floor. The manager just smiled and nodded when we showed him our concern and acted like this was just a normal day. It was shameful. I have stayed in hotels all over and this was one of the top 5 worst rooms. For $25 more we stayed in a great room else where. It's not even a DEAL!

This is a bug infested, mold ridden, broken down hotel that even the crack and meth heads complained about in the lobby.
Rooms were filthy, sheets dirty, pubic hairs in the bathroom. Let's see, lock broken, smoke detector dismantled, bathroom fan covered in black soot..mold.
Oh yay...staff rude, front desk tries to take a $500 deposit on my credit card.
Word to the wise....AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Arrived fairly late receptionist was rude until money was handed over.

Room was huge and came with a 'kitchenette' which comprised of an antique cooker and fridge. Both still had remnants of whatever someone had left in there about 10 years ago. Thoughtfully they had decided to use the remaining space in the kitchenette to store about 6 dining tables and chairs.

The room itself was impressive in length and boasted two CRT televisions within two feet of each other. The walls had holes in them where mounts and vents had been removed. There was a substantial safe with no key. There was a large air conditioner/heater which struggled to heat itself let alone the room and when it did eventually produce hot air it turned it self off leaving the room cold.

The bedding consisted of a thin blanket with another thin multicoloured blanket thrown over it.

Definitely would not stay in this hotel again

I used to stay here frequently 4 years ago and liked the king sized beds, pool, and free breakfast, but since then this place has gone down hill really fast. We asked for a "pet room" travelling with our small caged kitty, but I'll tell you if I managed this place, I would be ashamed of the condition of the rooms: paint peeling, door misaligned, rotten window frames, cut lamp cords, torn carpet, holes in the wall, dirt everywhere. I certainly will be passing on my concerns as well to the hotel branding. I should think the extra $25 they charge you per night for a pet should be put back into refurbishing this dump! Oh - and don't get caught smoking in the non-smoking rooms - that's another $250 fee - thank goodness I'm a non smoker!

Room Tip: There are lots of other motels along this motel strip that offer comparable prices - my advice is to...

I woke up after spending the night here, covered in bed bug bites! The hotel smells, bad, the carpets are filthy, our door lock was broken, and we came back from work one evening to find our room door wide open! You will never find me staying in a Ramada hotel again!

Room Tip: Room 275 has bed bugs... don't know about the others
