My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We found the hotel to be clean, modern and nicely designed. Expierence with the staff was excellent, and had no problems checking in or out.
We did find the room to be a bit small. We stayed in the King Suite. We expected multiple rooms, but found a large room with a fireplace dividing each side. Kitchen was non-existant. We found the room to be very narrow, and the furniture a bit on the hard side. The king size bed was great. Was very comfortable, and as clean. Pillows were in abundance, and comfortable.
We did not enjoy the free hot breakfast either. Food tasted fine, but was constantly out. The hotel could have done a better job at stocking the hot food. This hotels version of a hot breakfast is just the addition of waffle makers, eggs, and sausage. Otherwise you have the normal cereral, breads, juice, etc. It is all self serve. Another problem we found was the lack of seating. Having breakfast at 9am seemed to be the wrong time to eat. There just wasn't enough chairs for everyone.
We saw the pool, but didn't get a chance to swim. From what we saw, it was just a basic small pool, and small hot tub.
Location of the hotel was quite strange as well. Was just north of the airport in an industrial area of calgary. No other businesses were around. Can not walk to any other part of calgary, and I didn't see any public transportation.
Overall thoughts are pretty average for this hotel. We didn't find anything special here.
