This restaurant came highly regarded from fellow business travelers, so I stopped in for dinner while in Calgary on a business trip. The food was the obvious draw, since I had been told that Calgary was known for good beef. I was not disappointed in the quality or quantity of the meal. I ordered the 10 oz New York Strip and it came with the customary sides, I choose mashed potatoes and mixed vegetable, the meal also comes with a salad. I ordered a local brew on tab that was recommended by the server. I found that although delicious, I could not finish my steak, it was a good size portion and came with ample sides. I sat in the lower portion of the restaurant where it was quite dark and "bar roomy". They had a pool table, a bar and some seating. I found it a bit too closed in and gloomy sitting downstairs. Perhaps the upstairs had better lighting, but I didn't go up to check.
