“Great exhibits with a twist of fun”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Living in Calgary, we have decided this year to try out some new experiences - this was first up. At $12/adult this is cheaper than a movie and way more entertainment, while learning, and interacting with our proud sports heritage.
We spent 90 minutes, and only did half of it thoroughly - will be going back.
Two main areas - summer sports and winter sports.

- highlights all sports, not just hockey
- interactive exhibits where adults and kids can try things out (rowing, wheelchair racing, soccer, sports commentary, boxing)
- video screens at every location with a variety of videos about the sport (about 4 mins each)
- each display area also has an interactive video display where you can try out the sport (kind of 'wii'-like)
- breadth of display materials was quite vast and neat to see olympic torches, original swimsuits, bobsled, etc.)
- up to date until Socchi olympics
- great interaction particularly for families
- it's only $12!!!!!!
- great facility
- parking is free
- it's at Canada Olympic Park- so make a day of it :)
- a wonderful volunteer was there to give us extra information, and for us to ask questions

- need more time
- short 11 minute video could be longer and more in depth
- displays could perhaps be slightly more interactive and tell you about the displays, not just look at them (Government Frank Slide centre is an ideal example)
- everything is on second floor , so kind of no 'wow' factor when you enter facility

Thoroughly enjoyed this place, seeing Canada's rich sports heritage, and will go back to finish it off. We need more of this in Calgary and Canada.

“Must See! ”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

This was better than expected! Spent nearly 4 hours here and for $12 CAD a very good deal! If any management read this, Audrey, a volunteer was FANTASTIC! She was knowledgable about all sports and collections in the hall and took time to talk to us and explain stuff. It was a pleasure meeting you Audrey! Lots of exhibits here for kids too, so come here and enjoy the Hall!

“Be an elite athlete!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

You get to see great memorabilia from a huge variety of sports; both professional and amateur (i.e. Olympic), there's hands-on displays so you can actually live the experience, and it's situated in the heart of Olympic facilities. What more can you ask for? Depending on when you go, you might also be able to wander around the grounds and run into an Olympic athlete in training, watch training for luge, bobsled, hockey, skiing, and more. All in all, it's a great place to spend some time.

“Better than expected!”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

I went with my 3 kids ages 7, 5 and 22 months. They LOVED the interactive exhibits - especially my boys who got to play hockey and baseball! My daughter loved the figure skating exhibit. We spent almost 2 hours there and will definitely go back!

“what a surprise”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

went there to kill some time before flight and really found it interesting. Most fascinating to me was all of the torches from different Olympic games as well as gold medals won by Canadians. Relatively inexpensive. Could have easily spent 2-3 hours there. Also went up to look at bobsled track and ski jump.
