“Average food in a typical "Cdn Chinese restaurant”
Reviewed 23 May 2013 via mobile

I passed on the buffet which was very popular, people going back for 3rd helpings of chicken fried rice, fried egg rolls, etc

Instead I went for gailan (Chinese broccoli) in garlic and oyster sauce and beef with black bean sauce.

Well made but mellowed out to Cdn taste

Service was abrupt but efficient

“Amazing food”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

The service is nothing fancy, the restaurant is a little run down. The food is amazing, its about $8-$9 all you can eat buffet on week days. The woman working there are very kind.
My favourite dish is their ginger beef

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 12 December 2012 via mobile

Tucked away and unprepossessing, this place is a real find.
Food is fresh, hot with excellent use of sesoning. Even old stodgy family favourites are treated with love.
Service is friendly and unobtrusive. Come early-midweek to avoid the crush,

“Excellent food, reasonable prices, good service”
Reviewed 2 December 2012

The hot and sour soup was a delicious blend of flavors. Absolutely the best salt and pepper squid I've ever had, with incredibly tender squid. The ginger beef was excellent. The Singapore noodles were okay. Service was very quick. One of the best Chinese dinners I've ever had. Will definitely be going back again.

“I have been going here for years...”
Reviewed 29 November 2012

This is a hidden jewel as far as Chinese restaurants in Calgary go. While it does look a little run down from the outside, the taste and staff are incomparable. Fresh, flavourful and well priced. The dining is family style and there is no better restaurant to enjoy a meal with family and friends. The staff speaks rough english, but are the friendliest people you could meet, and really complete the dining experience. You will be coming back for more, just like I have been for the past 10 years.
