Wanna dine with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis? This is the place. Roll up your sleeves, plant your elbows on the table and get ready for some good eatin'.

I've only been here for breakfast, but that has happened on numerous occasions. Never had a complaint yet.

Breakfast is served all day. A big plate of eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast for under ten bucks. And you get to eat with Mairlyn Monroe and Elvis looking down at you from posters above wall mounted juke boxes.

The menu offers a mix of American and Chinese food. And it all looks good. The primarily Chinese staff is friendly and efficient.

Regular customers park in the lot out back and enter via the alley.

Complimentary newspapers are available on the front counter.

The atmosphere is down home informal with booth, table and counter seating available.

If there is a weak point it might be the coffee. Coffee snobs, however, can walk the block and a half to Starbucks after their meal or to a variety of other coffee houses that are closer still.

The Lido offers a pleasant bit of the eclectic to an increasingly trendy neighborhood.

Wow. We were quite surprised to find this little gem of a diner tucked into this eclectic neighbourhood in Calgary. Generous (and I mean GENEROUS!) portions on the Chinese food that we ordered. You must try the Wor Wonton soup, which is big enough for 4-6 people at the low price of $9.50! If you are looking for a great cheap breakfast, look no further - while we were there both times for lunch, the $6.83 breakfast sure looks appealing for price and content. We just loved this little place and the service was great - so friendly. Try their ginger beef too. While the bathrooms are a bit sketchy, the main diner area is clean, bright and it's a pleasure to see so many regulars and locals. We like it when we hear the service staff calling people by name. Very cool. I always say when there is a group of seniors eating there, it's a sure value bet for good, fresh food and pricing. We will be making this a regular haunt. Look for parking just around the corner to the north, or on street if the timing is right.

The portion sizes are generous and the food is delicious and very filling. The service is great. It's a cozy little mom and pop place. I have been going there for around ten years now and I'd still go there for decades more.

This little local restaurant has been open wiht the same owner for as long as I can remember. They have western and chinese food. It ain't the ritz but I never have had a poor meal nor any gastric repercussions after. Go for the breakfast special or lunch or supper. I have never been disapointed. Went for breakfast this time. Proces still reasonable and good service. Good value.
