Once you have been to the Winspear it is difficult to go anywhere else in Edmonton for a concert since the whole experience is perfect. Parking is nearby, restaurants abound within walking distance (Bistro Praha - a must), and the ease with which people move in and out is nothing short of fabulous. This is in addition to the terrific seat selection, the excellent sound and the great views from where ever you sit. Prices are also reasonable. We have been here for work functions in the foyer, ESO performances, world renowned speakers, Bryan Adam concerts to the Van Trap family concert. We can't say enough good things about the Winspear.

The Winspear has great sound and is an excellent home for ESO performances (and by the way, William Eddins is a gem, he really is). Edmonton is lucky to have this place as a centre for the arts.

My husband and I went to see the comedian Danny Buoy on a Sunday evening. The Winspear is a wonderful place for many different shows. The acoustics are great and there really isn't a bad place to sit in the building. Seats are comfortable. They had coffee, snacks, desserts, drinks prior to the start of the show. They could use some more seats in the lobby for people to sit before the show. LRT is close by, parking is available and lots of restaurants nearby. I'd recommend going to a show, concert etc at the Winspear. It is cozy and has a very nice atmosphere.

The Winspear has a reputation for having some of the best acoustics in North America, if not the world. Many kinds of music are performed here but my favorite are the performances by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Classics or Pops...they are great concerts. The Winspear staff are excellent. One word of advice...it is sometimes chilly so bring a sweater or pashmina to throw over bare shoulders!
