“Very impressed at a great price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

I was attending an event at the aviation museum across the street which is part of the reason I chose this hotel. I needed a pet friendly affordable room. At only $10 difference and 15 closer in drive time to the venue this was the perfect choice. The room was clean and tidy, complimentary lip balm was a welcome touch, and though the parking lot was full, suggesting the hotel was too, I never heard a peep from neighbours. Talk about quiet! My dogs were welcome and I was not charged a pet fee. This is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in of late. The staff were helpful in replacing the key but it was a little inconvenient to have to keep them in two separate places for the weekend. The bed was comfortable and clean as well. Online booking was simple, cancelling was simple, rebooking was simple, and changing my booking to add an extra day was simple. Excellent individual room climate control. Location wise it depends on what you are in town for. For me it was perfect, I purchased groceries next door at the superstore and never had to leave the area for the entire weekend. Checkout was seamless with no surprise charges. My only complaint is that the shower was a little strong, could use an updated shower head and faucets to solve this issue. The shower curtain was also a little too friendly! I have two events in this location every year and intend to stay here for all future visits.

Room Tip: Keep your room key away from your cell phone. It scrambles the room key and makes it unusable. There...

Staying at this Hotel while attending a family member in hospital. First visit - 7 nights. Spotless, well appointed rooms. Good upgrades in mine. Lounge a welcome respite in evening. However, morning staff working the (included) hot buffet dining room are rude, unfriendly and gave very poor service. Even extra effort on my part couldn't rouse a friendly greeting after 4-5 mornings. Not what this lovely hotel should accept. Not a happy way for me to start my long and difficult days at the hospital.

Room Tip: Might be nicer to be off the main floor, but this is not a party hotel so my room was good.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and enjoy their Saturday night prime rib buffet. The salad selection was varied and tasty. The prime rib was excellent as was the turkey ragout. Deserts were bountiful and all had their own unique taste. Service was 'old school' attentive, pleasant, accurate and polite. Tracey you did good! They have a great Ukrainian buffet Sunday evenings.

It's not that there's anything wrong with the place per se, but there's nothing really right with it either. The place is stuck in 1980, the decor, furnishings, layout and technology. It's fine for a day or two, but not for a business traveler. The fitness room is small and ill equipped. There's a profound lack of powered parking stalls, a real problem with Edmonton -35 winter nights. The service and breakfast buffet are great, but for the money, I would rather be in a new property.

Clean. Comfortable. Close to kingsway and the royal Alex. Flat screen 32" tv. Shower pressure us so hard. No pool. Small fitness room. Great service and good rates that include breakfast and parking
Well lit parking lots. Ice and pop machine on each floor.

We stayed here for 6 days in August 2013, leading up to a family wedding at the Hotel's conference center next door. Very convenient location for exploring Edmonton. Very large & comfortable beds but strange to have the sink in the bedroom, rather than in the en-suite bathroom. Shame there was no garden or outside space to lounge in. Mid-priced hotel. Overall, I do recommend it.
