“Always a good time!”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

My family always enjoys the Waterpark at West Edmonton Mall.

For $45 we rent a cabana, which is really just a lockable room off to the side. The rental includes 4 chairs and a table that you can pull out into the common area shared by the 5-6 cabana families that day. One time we had a group of about 15 people next to us that rented a cabana and it was quite annoying and loud. They snuck in enough private food to feed an army and proceeded to take over the entire common area, but most times it's just other families like us who enjoy the additional privacy and having access to the Cabana common bathroom.

We've never rented tubes at the Waterpark because there are always a few floating free when it first opens. My advice is always to get there early! For the first hour you sometimes feel like you have the place to yourself. :-) The slides do get quite busy in the afternoon so we do the slides all morning and chill out later.

The wave pool is a great size, but the waves can be somewhat intense for smaller kids and we have issue with the number of tubes out there. It's impossible to be in control of your tube so we regularly see people get smacked down under the water by tubes in the waves. But this is only a problem in the busy afternoons so again we pick and choose our schedule!

The food is always as expected. Normal burgers, fries, hot dogs and drinks. We've enjoyed the popcorn, but the soft pretzels are always stale. You're not supposed to bring in your own food, but everybody does!! The staff never says a word so we started bringing our own in as well. It's much cheaper, healthier and more convenient to have your own.

All in all the Waterpark is a great way to spend the day. Look for 2 for 1 coupons as my family of three generally spends $100 before the cabana rental! Have fun!

“Kids love this place!”
Reviewed 6 April 2013

My daughter asks constantly if we can go to the water park, now our 2 year old is doing the same! They enjoy every minute when we go and leave ready to sleep!

My only complaint is the locker rooms...I find them extremely crowded and the floors are always so gross to walk on. They really need constant cleaning in there during the hours its open and more space for people!

28 degrees (82 F) 365 days a year. This place is the best when closing your eyes and transporting yourself to a beach while outside it's middle of winter. All for less than the price of night out with the boys (or girls).

“Great wave pool”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

The wave pool is great. I do wish they required everyone to have a tube because if you don't have one and you get caught up in a wave, it's easy to get run over by someone in a tube. A good variety of slides. The tube slides could be better managed; there seems to be a long wait to get a tube.
The change rooms always seem very clean even towards the end of the day.

I am not a fan of water slides and that kind of stuff but i particularly loved the wave pool! It's easy to spend hours here.
