The restaurant I visited was across the street from a major research hospital and near a major university. It is part of a small (3 restaurants) local chain. I would position it as somewhere between the typical Japanese fast food, think Edo or Tokyo Express and fine dining. I had a lunch bento box - tempura, teryaki chicken, salad and sushimi. It came with decent miso soup and had a mid range price for Edmonton of $12.95. I like the ambience and the food was decent for the price. Of the 6 or so Japanese restaurants I have patronized (from Edo to higher end) in the last 6 months I would place Yokozuna in the middle in term of food quality but I thought it was good value and I would go there again if it was convenient.
