My family and I just came back from staying in a two bedroom cabin here for 2 nights. To say the staff was friendly is an understatement they really do make you feel like family. Our cabin was very roomy and although it was in need of some renovations it was very comfortable. If you are traveling with young children you will need to watch them very closely as it is right beside the river. I found the price here unbeatable when you compare it to other cabins in the Rockies. We will definitely be staying here again later this summer.

We stayed here this past weekend for 3 wonderful nights. The staff was warm and friendly - we felt like family, in a good way. The grounds are natural, covered with wild strawberries, moss, and other natural growth. The cabins are cosy and comfortable, the bedding and towels soft and clean. Keep your shoes on though as the floors get dirty quickly from the fireplace and great outdoors. We can't wait to o back!

We stayed 2 nights at Pine Bungalows in July 2010. The park was extremely quiet and peaceful. The cabin was wonderful - queen bed, lounge chairs, fridge, good size bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. The old gas heater woke me up a few times during the night with its moans and groans but that was a minor thing. We loved Pine Bungalows and Jasper - we would go back in a flash.

Situated in a forest 1 km from Jasper this resort is very good alternative for groups. For a single family the rate is expensive but for 2-3 families by renting a cabin with 2-3 bedrooms this is a good choice. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin with full kitchen and fireplace. The resort does not have any amenities like swimming pool or fitness room but if you are looking for a quiet place this is a good choice in Jasper

We just returned from a 16 day trip, 7 nights of it at the Pine Bungalows.
I've read several comments here regarding proximity to the highway, which also concerned us a bit upon check-in as we had a riverfront cabin which is within a long distance view of the highway & some noise, but it was never a problem & not something we gave another thought. We live in a quiet area of Utah so aren't conditioned to traffic noise, yet it didn't affect our stay.
We loved the location and close view of both the Athabasca & Edith Clavell in the distance. The fireplace was used every night for quiet, cozy reading after a day of sightseeing & hiking. The mattress was good, which is particularly important for our older backs, the unit was very clean and the staff pleasant. As we'd left our dog home we enjoyed the company of Zach....the resident pooch. We took advantage of the convenient, on-site laundry, free public pc use in the store and convenience to town.
Several of the Jasper cabin properties, that come highly recommended here, are much closer to the highway than the Pine Bungalows & pricier so I wouldn't let that be a deterrent. We would always return there in the future. Particularly enjoyed the elk outside our door & riverside benches for morning coffee.

My family and I booked a week here hoping to escape from the city and connect with nature. We were sold by the promise of a 'rustic, environmentally friendly, techo-detox' but we've since learned that 'run down, cheap-o, highway noise trap' might better have suited the description.

We had a newer cabin, backing onto the highway with a view of the auto graveyard / hotel dumping ground. When we entered our cabin, it was clear that the floors hadn't been washed prior to our arrival. They never were in our time there. Judging from the grime in the corners, I doubt that they've been washed at all this year. It didn't help that there was not a broom in the unit and it was only swept once in six days! I was awake at night, terrified that the mice would infiltrate and feast on the crumbs of three days worth of meals! Luckily, no mice spotted.

Calling this place environmentally friendly is completely false. True, they may have won area awards for cutting their carbon footprint, but that's easy enough to do when you take out the tv and put in enviro-light bulbs (which leave the place cold and dark in the evenings...) but there weren't low-flush toilets or energy-star rated appliances. The last I heard, elbow grease was a renewable resource, so there was no excuse for the grimy state of the floors!

The potential of the space is amazing. If they removed and replaced the absolutely filthy 70s era office furniture/dining suite, faded curtains, bedspreads and kitchens, it would totally be worth the $220 per night charged. The highway noise wouldn't have seemed so bad if coming inside in the evenings was anticipated rather than a skin crawling dread. We were lucky enough to see a harem of elk pass right in front of our cabin, about 15 in all. The view of the Athabasca river is beautiful and so is Jasper.

I was attracted to the site because of their "green" awards, location and price. When we arrived the girl at the front desk gave us very little information except that they were having a wildlife talk at 7 pm that night. they asked for payment for our full stay up front and gave us a vacation guide and their newsletter and told us where our cabin was. Arriving at our cabin I knew it was going to be less than expected. The cabins are all very close together and extremely plain on the outside. Upon entering the cabin we found the queen bed just in the front door (this was the "alcove" off the kitchen). There was a table and four chairs and no comfy seating in which to enjoy the wildlife out the large front window. The kitchen is more of a kitchenette and does not come with more than 1 sharp knife (so don't plan to have a steak dinner). For a place that advertises their commitment to the environment they run extremely outdated appliances and have not installed low-flush toilets or water saving devices in showers and taps. The beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and the pillows are lumpy and hard. I did not find it an inviting place. If I had been able to secure other accommodations I would have moved after the first night. Unfortunately we were not able to find other suitable accommodations so we stayed the three nights.
