“Cute cabins”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

We stayed here only one night but I could have stayed here for a couple of weeks. The cabin was 2 rooms, washroom with shower and tub plus a single large with kitchen and twin beds. We were situated Riverside. Quiet. An elk made its way through the resort in the morning. There is no TV, true, but with scenery like this why do you need it? We were close to town as well, about 2 km. As for wifi, there wasn't any, I just used my Rogers 3G data which is strong in this area. I hope to return to this resort one day.

We went last weekend for a 2-day getaway, and were very happy with Pine Bungalows. We had a riverfront view, stone fireplace, full (small) kitchen, very comfortable bed and more. The best thing was the complete peace and quiet at night!

Room Tip: Riverfront cabins, if you can get one!

This was my first time at the pine bungalows and I truly enjoyed staying here.
We decided on the river front kitchenette. GREAT money saver when cooking your own meals.

Chairs, pinic table and mini fire burning stove provided for your outdoor pleasures (love sitting by the fire outside and making smores)

I adored the wood burning fire place on the inside.
The cabin was small and quaint, but all the main necessities were provided including "cabin service" (fresh towels, garbage disposed for you)
Its definitely nothing fancy-its rustic and comfortable.

I cannot wait to come back!

Room Tip: Please get a river front cabin. Well worth the extra money. View of the river/mountains at your fro...

My husband, 20 y/o son and I just spent 3 nights at the Pine Bungalow Cabins. The 2 bedroom heritage cabin that we had originally booked was not available on our arrival. We were accommodated in 2 one bedroom cabins side by side instead. Although initially disappointed on check-in, it turned out to be wonderful. The cabins were closest to the river and were so cute and comfortable. I had requested a cabin with a fireplace (the modern ones do not have this feature I believe). Such a wonderful touch.

The cabins were immaculately clean and there were enough pots, pans and utensils to meet our needs. Storage room was a little tight but fine for 3 nights. Although there was insect screening on the windows, a pine martin decided to visit on our first night and entered through the chimney. We were woken by a few things falling off the kitchen bench. Fortunately we were able to shoo him out through the front door with only a few growls from him!!! (We didn't realise how aggressive they can be until we checked with the tourist information next day.

The setting is wonderful. Right on the edge of the Athabasca River and far enough out of town to feel miles away from there. You would need to drive, cycle or hike into Jasper if you want to access services etc. We had hired a car so this was not a problem.

Staff were wonderful. Efficient and friendly. No WiFi in the cabins (fabulous for me). Our son used the internet in the Reception to check his emails (20 y/os need to feel linked in to the 'net').

Overall, peaceful, regenerating and wonderful. Want to come back from Australia again some day to beautiful Canada and Pine Bungalows will be top of the list. Do yourself a favour and go enjoy the tranquility and beauty. Sit by the river and enjoy a wine and then gaze into your fire and feel the stress seep out of you.

Thank you Pine Bungalows for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin close to the river so you look out to it rather than other bungalows.

Had a last minute change of plan and made our way to Jasper from Banff. I telephoned through and made a reservation for 4 nights. Rooms were spacious and clean, good location.
Stayed here with wife and young son (was 1 at the time) they provided a crib. Had friends staying with us in a van, outside the cabin!.
Went out after dark for a wander around the grounds, and there was a bear hanging about!
Would stay again

Pine Bungalows was exactly what we were looking for to begin our holiday in the Rockies. Winding down from work in the city was easy at the riverside cabin we booked for a three night stay. No phones, no television, no traffic or sirens....perfect place to decompress.
The staff were very good and aside from a minor housekeeping issue (resolved immediately) the cabin itself was better than expected with plenty of room for two.
The short distance from "downtown" Jasper meant using our feet instead of our car. Views from the riverside were excellent and the wildlife roaming through the property were an added bonus and a much welcome change from hotels in town.
I think that we can safely say that this will be a destination for us again as we travel to the Rockies every summer.
Thanks!

We arrived at Pine Bungalow Cabins at the very beginning of a long week-end, when nearly all others accommodations in Jasper appeared to be already fully booked. Luckily for us, we found a room here! Check in was professionally handled by two very kind men: one took our luggage to be kept in a separated storage since our room would not have been ready until afternoon, while the other gave a call to Maligne Lake cruises to check their availabilities. Brilliant! When we finally took possession of our motel room, we found it very large, clean, no frills but very nice and welcoming, a perfect place to rest after exploring the Rockies! Location is wonderful, just outside but close to Jasper, near the Athabasca River where you'll have plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife: during our stay, for example, we saw a wonderful group of wapiti. Last but not least, thumbs up for the environmental commitment of the entire staff!
