“Lovely evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

We visited the Moose's Nook while staying at the Jasper Park Lodge. We were seated at a lovely table next to the piano so we had great entertainment all night. We each ordered the same starter and main so we only tried two menu items but our salads were great. We each ordered beef tenderloins medium but they came out medium well. I typically order medium knowing it comes out medium rare but this was the first time I've ever had tenderloin overlooked. It was still a nice steak but for $50 a steak + a la carte sides, the steak should be cooked pretty near perfect. Definitely mixed feelings on this one as the room and menu are lovely but it falls short in comparison to the other outstanding Fairmont dining rooms of similar price.

“Mindblowingly excellent”

This has to be one of the best meals in my life! We are on a tour of West Canada staying in mainly Fairmont Hotels. We thought the Wildflower Restaurant at Whistler was fantastic, but this place is unbelievable. The presentation, innovation, flavour and size of meal were all outstanding and included Canadian Regional produce (I had bison). One not to miss!

“A real treat”

I loved the meal, the wine, and the atmosphere. The pianist made the evening for me, he came around asking for requests and he is a very amiable and a humorous man. Do try the caesar salad, it is made at the table and of course the meat, I had the beef tenderloin is very tasty.

“Good food, pricey, what a location!”

Delicious hamburger, outstanding halibut. Caesar salad was overdressed and wet. Chips were poor. The rooftop honey bee beer, made at the hotel is outstanding.
