Visited Jasper after Banff back in September (four nights just after Labor Day). We were happy with the Alpine Village overall and although Cabin 7 was a small, older, nicely remodeled cabin and it was comfortable for the two of us. The bathroom was natural stone with a heated floor and huge up-scale shower. Really, no room for luggage so we took clothes out and left them on the side counter and put our luggage back in the trunk so as to have room to relax. We like the option to cook some meals ourselves and used the outdoor grill several times. Our plan to prepare breakfast, however, was another story. The pots and pans were old, peeling teflon and we refused to use them so we managed with hard boiled eggs in the one usable pan with toast or grabbed something on the run. Many mention that these cabins are on a main road but we don't really agree; it is close to the road but it is more of a scenic loop and there were no traffic noise issues after dark or in the morning. We enjoyed the resident cat that came to visit us most evenings while out cooking on the grill and we got to expect the sound of bugling elk just before dawn each day. Saw more elk while on this property than anywhere else in Jasper :). We would visit Jasper again and stay at Alpine Village.
