I agree with Jackie1806. Like her, we were unable to find other hotels. Our room was beautifully decorated with antique furniture and lovely drapes, but dinky. Had no air conditioning, no place to put things, was noisy from the nightclub below. The ads called it a boutique hotel, and is priced accordingly, but certainly not worth the cost.

The rooms are small but very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a great quiet sleep. They could use an upgrade on their bath towels though. Location of this hotel is great as it is located in the centre of downtown Jasper and within short walking distances of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Breakfast was great in the hotel restaurant.

We stayed at the Athabasca hotel after a long hike and car trouble. The staff were extremely accomodating and helpful and assisted us above and beyond what we could hope for in getting our needs cared for. Our rooms and beds were comfortable and we had a great view from our window. The hotel is conveniently located in central Jasper townsite so we could walk everywhere. It was reasonably priced. It is very clean, convenient, reasonable and accomodating. A good choice.

Do not stay here unless it is the last place available in town, as it was for us. There is a reason for that - in fact several reasons. No elevator, so you have to heave your bags up two flights of stairs to a room that is not much larger than the bed. No air conditioning - it was like sleeping in an oven. Of course, you have to have the window open and then it's far too noisy to sleep. Other than the bed, our room had a sink and a small table with a phone and clock and no room for anything else. Nowhere to put spectacles, book, drink (that you desperately need) etc when you go to bed. And in the morning you trot down the corridor to wait your turn for the bathroom (don't wait until you are desperate!) and then once in the shower, nowhere except the floor to put anything (spectacles again) other than a hook for your clothes.

Room Tip: Try somewhere else!

The room must have had a faulty heater as it never got below thirty five all night. Had fan running and all it did was move hot air. Opened window and had loud exhaust fans below our window. Asked if anything could be done. Not interested. They had our money. Not happy at all. Would not recommend staying with them. The town was great.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel.
