Pleasant stay and good surroundings. The room was well kept and reasonably priced for the most part. The restaurant was a little pricy...but otherwise we had a good experience here.

After a long drive from Vancouver, B.C. we were too tired to drive to Edmonton, AB. so we decided to stay over in Jasper for one night. My son highly recommended The Maligne Lodge as he used to come to Jasper for snowboarding. Glad that we had listened to him. The room is a bit small but the beds were so comfortable. The Town of Jasper is small enough that everything is close by withn 15 minutes. The staff is quite friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Even though our room faces the street (highway) the room is still very quiet. You do not get the tr...

The maligne lodge is at the edge of jasper town, so it's probably a 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Parking was free. We had a standard room and e bed was HUGE! It was also a big room with bath and shower and separate sink area. It also had a fridge, tv and a microwave available upon request. The wifi wasn't great a bit slow and kept having to log on again which was a bit annoying not sure if this is just a problem with this motel or in jasper as a whole though. Perfect motel for a base to explore japer national park. Was clean and staff friendly. Only thing that didn't look too clean was the pool so we didn't use it however this may have been because we were there in the off season so maybe it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Overall was excellent value and would stay again if we return to jasper.

We stayed for two nights at the Maligne Lodge. Our first room had a minor eletric issue, but they promptly gave us another (much better) one.
The hotel offers many facilities, including a good swimming pool, microwave oven, etc. Beds are very confortable.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
We recommend the Maligne Lodge to anyone travelling to that blessed and fantastic region.

We stayed at the Maligne Lodge in Jasper for 1 night recently and found the room to be fairly disappointing considering the price we payed. The room itself was dark and in need of repairs in areas, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable though, so for us we only needed a place to sleep, so that part of the room delivered expectations.

The hotel is located in the main town of Jasper, so it is close by to all the restaurants and shops that you would need.

For the price that is being charged for these rooms, I would recommend trying to find somewhere with tidier rooms and a cheaper rate, if that's possible.

The hotels in Jasper seem to have mixed reviews so it was difficult to pick one for 2 couples staying just one night, without paying an absolute fortune. This one indicated that it had recently been refurbished. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, but furniture looked bruised & battered and ac unit in between window & bed. Exterior of motel looked pretty shabby. Close to town and you could walk to restaurants etc. Thought overpriced for what you get - was considerably more than the Delta at Calgary Airport. Thought the website indicating it had been renovated gave a false impression of what we saw.

Not far from Jasper township, clean, friendly service, nice rooms. The only downside was the noise from the trains that run just across the road from the hotel. Would stay there again.
