The tour goes along maligne lake road so nothing special there but it tells you where to stop (coyotes dens, eagle nest..) and our guide gave us nice explanations. We redid the tour by ourselves several times and saw lots of wildlife. Would do it again, a highlight of our trip.

We had an absolutely amazing time with Ross on our evening wildlife tour in Jasper. We booked on this trip on our first night in Jasper and had an incredible time. Ross picked us up from outside our hotel and was so knowledgeable about all the local wildlife. It was evident that Ross was very passionate but he also ensured that everyone was making sure they were safe and that we were observing wildlife in the best way possible for both us and the animals. On our tour we managed to see white tail deer, big mountain goat, male and female elk, coyote & beaver. While Ross tried very hard to find us some bears there is obviously no guarantee and on this occasion we did not see any (although we did at other points of our trip). Ross was very kind and informative. Ross had so many wonderful facts and interesting stories throughout our journey which really made the tour what it was.Would happily go back again in future.

Ryan was an excellent tour guide, very passionate and knowledgeable about the ecology of Jasper National Park, really great commentary. We saw black and grizzly bears, deer, caribou, goats, bald eagles, marmots... the only thing we didn't manage to spot despite a few attempts were cougars, although Ryan told us where they hang out. Highly recommended trip.

Our driver/guide was excellent, third generation “Jasperian”, very informative and interesting about the wildlife and area. We were very fortunate as one of tour members spotted a grisly bear as we were driving by a densely shrubby area. We also saw osprey nesting with chicks, big horn sheep, white tail deer, and a mother moose and her calf (though I missed seeing it due to the number of people already there). The Maligne Lake Cruise portion was excellent also, Capt Jen and her tour guide were terrific. Besides the beautiful lake and mountain scenery, we watched a rainbow trout being reeled in. I liked that the tour group was small, 18. Be prepared to do short walks at Spirit Island and Athabasca Falls.

Besides the many species we saw and could photograph during the bustour, tourgide/driver Kelly gave us a continous lecture on wildlife, forest dynamics, regional history, etc. Also she was very entertaining with personal anecdotes.
