The location is really the star here. Just fabulous....great hiking right there with several trails. I recommend the Overlook Loop. The lake is terrific, especially in the morning where you can go on the pier and sit on a bench with your morning coffee. Rooms are fine, clean. Pull-out bed is awful but bed in bedroom is just fine. Rooms in the 70's prob. have the best view, but you'll want to go down to the lake anyway. We didn't eat there, but menu looked good and reasonable. I'd say it's about three miles from downtown Jasper.

We stayed for 3 nights during out two week road trip round Canada. It was the most expensive we stayed in and unfortunately the most disappointing.

We had a one bed suite with kitchenette. Place was clean but we couldn't see the lake very well directly from our room.

By far the worst thing was the sound proofing between the units. We were on the lower level and had a young family above. You could hear footsteps from above causing light fittings to rattle almost like a herd of elephants and every time the shower ran or the toilet flushed you felt like it was in your own room. We spoke to reception on the first evening who said that we could move rooms but it would cost more which we were reluctant to do due to the original price of the room versus what we were receiving already. The noise continued for the next nights so much so that we didn't spend any more time than we had to in the room.

Location is 5km or so out of town as expected and road up to the lake is so full of elk that it makes for a nice drive but wouldn't like to be there without a car. There is a restaurant, bike rental and boat hire at the hotel too, can't comment on those as we didn't use them but restaurant prices appeared a bit high.

Stayed here at the end of May and have to say the resort is a stunner. Rooms comfortable, clean and great views. Staff were friendly and helpful and was able to sort out horse riding at short notice. Lovely walks around the lake followed by a nice drink and meal in the restaurant with great views. The quality of the food was exceptional. You get what you pay for....

Although the rooms are very rustic they are well equipped and spacious.
The views across the lake are stunning and the area has some excellent walks. Both nights we stayed here we saw various types of deer on our return from the pleasant town of Jasper.
Would use this hotel again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the 70's have the best views across the lake

Our group of 29 stayed here on our Canadian Rocky Tour. The cabin like rooms were so much fun. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. The best, however, was sitting on the benches on the dock by Pyramid Lake and visiting with friends. Staff were very friendly and sincerely enjoyed us being there. Everything was clean, clean, clean. So much fun to walk up the path to the dining room. Wish we could have stayed here when our boys were young!!

Room Tip: The rooms with balconies on the lake side made waking up in the morning a joy

Lots of wonderful a, setting, views, rooms, staff, food! Here for two wonderful days and scan not recommend it enough. Lots to do on the site including canoeing, cycling, walking. The restaurant is excellent just a few steps from your cabin. This place is great for couples and families. An elk was feeding outside of our cabin. Would be good for a longer stay.
